A hangover question

uhhm ok on thurs night i drank a lot of beer. i puked and everything. then the morning after i puked. and i puked once more last night. i havent puked today but my stomach is pretty funky. i dont have anything to worry about do i? or sense im here right now am i fine?
 
^??? ur right i havent rly had that much to drink. but im afraid if i do itll come right back up.
 
ya your dehydrated. but you need to eat and drink. alcohol makes you lose your ADH (I think thats what it is) which helps you stay hydrated, so eating will give you that back then you can drink to be hydrated. I think thats how it works
 
awe yeah thats the worst, the trick is you gotta drink gatorade first thing in the morning while your still drunk, when your still drunk you wont boot, but once you go from super drunk to super hungover you wont be able to keep even water down, well thats what happens to me anyways,
 
yeah. i ate a pancake over an hour ago. but my stomach feels little weird now. ha. but earlier i drank some water. a sprite. and i ate some saltines and a lil bit of chicken noodle soup... oh wait update. i just burped while typing this. feel loads better. but yeah i rly dont wanna drink after this. very not fun all.

It's 5pm here and i'm STILL in bed from waking up with an atomic hangover this morning
 
next time just drink a lot of water and eat a lot of carbs while your drinking and you should feel fine in the morning. i dont know what it is but i can drink as much as i want and wake up without a hangover unless i'm drinking whiskey. goodluck next time.
 
will do next time. i wish i woulda known this 2 nights ago. i'll feel better in the morning tho. im eatin lots of saltines and drinkin mostly water but a lil vitamin water as well. thanks for the tips again ns. i very much appreciate it.
 
Ya, hopefully not anytime soon though. I usually eat and drink (water and other non-alcoholic drinks) a lot while I'm drinking though.
 
drink water and the lytes. electrolytes and and pedialytes. even if it comes back up your body will retain some of it. so drink up. also, even though its technically really bad for you when you're hungover, eat some greasy food. it will help your tummy feel better. somehow. try to get some air, too. like going to the gym, on a hike, or skiing. oh and a red beer usually helps. beer+clamato.
 
eat a pie before you start drinking to get some grease in your stomach. eat bread before going to bed, drink lots of water before going to bed. in the morning drink lots more water eat and shower, even if you don't feel like it you'll feel alot better after having done it.

also if you're chucking, have something to eat and drink more water.. its better to actually throw something up than just trying to throw up but only managing bile. that just makes you feel even more shit
 
hahaha its horrible! especially if its happening when you're somewhat sober in the morning and can feel whats happening

some dude spent like an hour and a half throwing up at our flat a couple of weekends ago haha he musta felt like death the next day
 
Haha the classic hangover promise to yourself. I used to make them all the time. But now I realized that even though I say I won't drink ever again, I will in like 5 days. But for a serious response... hangovers suck man, I feel your pain. The only way to prevent one is AHEAD OF TIME. After a night of drinking a lot, chug a gatorade or two, and drink a lot of water. If you tend to drink enough to get sick, try to drink non-alcoholic drinks between your alcohol. I know it sounds gay but its totally worth it if you dont have to go through what youre going through right now. Just try to be smart about drinking, know your limits, and stay hydrated. Good luck with this hangover too man, sounds like a bitch.
 
No word of a lie that was me this morning - I woke up, couldn't move..booted badly. had a shower and i've had this wireless keyboard/mouse cranking with windows magnifier ALL DAY - like i woke up and i've been sitting in bed for 10 hours - such a waste of a day, yet so awesome at the same time.
 
your dehydrated and your vitamins are depleted in your body, pick up ridoxin from the drug store (1000mg vitamin C) and drop it in a glass of water and you'll feel tip top.
 
The key is to drink water, mad water. The night of and the night after. In the morning, keep drinking water and eating food, even if you're going to puke it up. At some point you gotta eat something and drink something and try you're hardest to hold it down. If you're gonna puke, do it. But as soon as you can hold it down for like and hour, drink more water and eat more food even if you're not hungry or thirsty. Once again keep drinking water, even have an energy drink, you'll feel better real quick. Also try to take a multi vitamin that has lots of b-12 in it, and take it before you start drinking, it will help.
 
it wont taste good but a beer in the morning will make you feel better. the only way to cure a hangover is to combat it before it starts with water or gatorade and like someone said a multivitmamin the same night your boozin or time and rest.
 
seriously, my best hangover cure is a fatty bong tear, or more alcohol... really though, try not drinking anything w/ tons o' sugar. Thats what most of your hangover is about, your body trying to process all the sugar ( wine, chaser ) in your system. just drink lots of water and eat mad carbs, it'll help a lot.
 
someone said drink an energy drink during the drinking. NEVER do that i drank two monsters one night+ drank wayyyyy to much and i was hung over for two days throwin up neon green shit. gatorades fine though
 
i used to be a pussy and get hung over all the time in High school

now i get fucked up thurs, fri , sat and monday and its all good

Just feast around 8pm, pasta and shit, start drinking around 10:30 , pass out around 4, sleep until 11 the next day, wake up feeling kinda hazy, drink a bunch of ice water, go back to sleep for an hour then wake up feeling 100% and eat a big breakfast .

Last time i booted was on Magic Hat mardi gras... but that was a special occasion where the first keg was tapped by 10am shit was over the top
 
I know what a multi-day hangover is like, the first time I passed out, I puked from 10pm (when I passed out) to 9pm the next day. I was feeling shitty for 2 days and had a sharp pain in the liver for a few more days. Its fucked up when you dont piss or shit for 24 hours.

 
I find if I drink a lot in one night that throwing in a bottle of water here and there almost gets rid of me being hungover the next day.

I also wrap my lips around a faucet right before I go to bed and drink more water than any man should, works very well.

I've had a multihangover before, I puked till I drive heaved, tried to eat, puked that up and I felt it right up to school that Monday.
 
another tip which i haven't seen here is try to piss a lot and not hold it on while your drinking. i really feel like it works. don't worry about breaking the seal, let the beer run right through you. eating preztles works too during the night. but while drinking beer, i find it bad to eat food because the food will taste way better and then drinking comes harder. (not really for me but for a lot of rookies or whatever) but preztles make you thirsty and easy to drink, plus its like bread

EAt a lot like two or more hours before drinking. Also. If you wake up hungover follow a few simple steps.
1. get out of bed. you may not want to, but it'll start the whole process and you'll never feel better while lying in bed.
2. get clean. when you feel better about yourself, your body responds accordingly
3. the replenish stage
a. replenish water. Alcohol is a natural diarrhetic. which means it absorbs water from your body. Drink more water to star, you'll feel slightly better.
b. replenish sugars. after a big glass of water, drink some juice, OJ apple juice gatorade. Gatorade is really good because it replenishes the electrolytes lost during drinking also
c. replenish salts. eat some chicken noodle soup or something similar. it has to be light, and have a reasonable amount of salt in it. salts help store water in the body and help your liver process the alcohol.
4. avoid a hangover. drink a lot of water before going to bed. like two plus glasses. eat some crackers while drinking to keep the salts in there and alternate alcohol with water, as gay as it sounds, it realllyyyyyy works! If you're at a party and can't get to water cuz they're charging for cups, just don't drink too much in the first place cuz if you don't know the hosts that well you don't want them to hate you for ever. So never drink too much a party, its embarrassing.

Follow these rules and no more hangovers!!

 
its actually shown that drinking alcohol to cure a hangover, while its an immediate help, often time leads to alcoholism.

i had a rough night last night and sleep til 330 today... but it wasnt bad cuz i didnt have shit to do except drink water
 
This thread is a sign that NS is moving in a good direction. Not once in the entire thread has anyone told the creator to stop being such a pussy. I actually really want to say it right now but I don't want to be the one to ruin the streak.

Drinking basics: eat a solid dinner before, drink water or gatorade (gatorade is beeettterrr) before passing out, and drink water in the morning. Whoever said eat something before going to bed is wrong. Eating bread after drinking to soak up the alcohol does nothing aka it's a myth. Ask anyone who has taken alcohol edu. It's all about the fluids, non-alcoholic fluids, non-soda fluids... O fuck it. Just drink water or gatorade or some pedialyte if you wanna get real serious about it.

you'll feel a little drunk again but this worked for me a couple of times :)
