Well www.wunderground.com says the low is 20, that's kinda low though. I am thinking maybe 40 something. That's still cold for the rockies in Aug. Oh well, I want it to snow NOW!!!!
27 days 2 hours and 37ish minutes exactly from right now. After loveland started blowing snow last year, it heated up to like 85 for a week straight and a-basin beat them by a day to open.
Skiing doesn't start till Breck/Keystone open. All of those granola eating, Arc'teryx patronizing, sack lunch bringing hippies can have their filthy mountain.
meh, you coloradians get your snow early, and can ski a little bit of park before November, but when November rolls around you will be sitting on the base you had Oct. 20th and the PNW will be rolling in snow.
i hate you. 2 years ago i stayed at copper february break and skied there and vail (which sucked). if it counts for anything i ate at a really good italian restaurant in frisco.
and when i went past arapahoe on 70, the parts i could see were covered in brownish snow. can anybody explain this? there was a littel at copper- it wasnt like slush or anything it was just brown
If I remeber right, A-Basin opened Friday the 13th last year and we opened the 14th....As soon as we start blowing snow, you can go to www.skiloveland.com for updates, cams and pics of the snowmaking ops.
I have my VA pass, I will get my Loveland pass on or near Labor Day. $319 seems to be a good deal for the season. So either way I will take my rock skis out and ski! AKA last years SETH's..lol. I really hope that Loveland opens first though!!!!
