A basin

Well www.wunderground.com says the low is 20, that's kinda low though. I am thinking maybe 40 something. That's still cold for the rockies in Aug. Oh well, I want it to snow NOW!!!!

I am praying for POW...LOL

27 days 2 hours and 37ish minutes exactly from right now. After loveland started blowing snow last year, it heated up to like 85 for a week straight and a-basin beat them by a day to open.

Right now its FREEZING up here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's so cold here in Frisco, I bet it's even colder on the Pass.

Skiing doesn't start till Breck/Keystone open. All of those granola eating, Arc'teryx patronizing, sack lunch bringing hippies can have their filthy mountain.

These pics are of Lovaland Pass from I70

meh, you coloradians get your snow early, and can ski a little bit of park before November, but when November rolls around you will be sitting on the base you had Oct. 20th and the PNW will be rolling in snow.

i hate you. 2 years ago i stayed at copper february break and skied there and vail (which sucked). if it counts for anything i ate at a really good italian restaurant in frisco.

and when i went past arapahoe on 70, the parts i could see were covered in brownish snow. can anybody explain this? there was a littel at copper- it wasnt like slush or anything it was just brown

It was cold the other night... Im soooo ready to start skiing! Im in marketing class right now, and it iss waaay boring... yay NS!!

yeah it was mid february. there was plenty of snow it was like a tan/brown film on top of the snow though it was really weird.

I remember... it was from that huge dust storm in the southwest!

It blew all kinds of dirt up to our pristene mountains...

yeah man, it was nasty as shit... Winter Park got it pretty bad so i bet the other ones were shitty too.

The snow was really gritty and slow and it almost felt like slush but colder

If I remeber right, A-Basin opened Friday the 13th last year and we opened the 14th....As soon as we start blowing snow, you can go to www.skiloveland.com for updates, cams and pics of the snowmaking ops.

See you on the mountain very soon!

I have my VA pass, I will get my Loveland pass on or near Labor Day. $319 seems to be a good deal for the season. So either way I will take my rock skis out and ski! AKA last years SETH's..lol. I really hope that Loveland opens first though!!!!

mid october.... my god how i loathe you people.

last year by martin luther king day there was enough snow for gore to have 21 of 75 trails open

welcome to new york

it from major dust storms that happen down in new mexico and arizona. it gets caught up in wind and thin layers are deposited over the rockies
