A B2 stealth bomber just flew over my house

About 15 seconds ago, a B2 bomber flew right over my house, wiked low. It was awsome, it looked like a spaceship.

I think that's only if they're flying super high, since the jet is still loud, just when it's far up it takes longer for the sound to reach you then it does for the jet to fly past your house. If the jet were low, you'd hear it pretty quick.

thats at high speeds, they had one fly over the allstar game in pittsburgh and i definatly heard it before it got there

wow so i open this and my friend says to me online that kevin just said that a stealth bomber just flew over him

thats kinda weird

im not sure if this beats a stealth bomber but i was skatin down the local park and a b52 bomber flanked by two spitfires flew straight over us.

yay flyovers! B2s are pretty damn quiet for jets. A Concorde flew over my backyard once, low enough to see the landing gear sticking out clearly. No idea what it was doing in my area though.

We have an airforce base in syracuse and its right near my dads office. F-15's and F-16's along with other larger planes are a regular occurance there. Once every couple weeks they fly over my house too. I saw them yesterday.

i was cadding at my local golf course on july 4th and 3 F-16s flew over LOUD as fuck and they were super low and it was one of the sweatest things ive ever seen...never seen them that low before

this summer they've been testing v-22s near my house. a couple times they where only about 1000ft up

above my house is restricted airspace and i always see random military/ airforce jets and helicopters flying over, like apache helicopters and a-10s and a few times some f-16's. and they are always flying really low, the apaches fly just above the trees and they are in formation and it gets pretty loud. its all weird htough seeing as i live almost in the boonies and the millitary base is not even close to my house and the afb is even farther away.

i was watching a show about them and one of the pilots said his first mission to afghanistan lasted 40hours and included 6 air-to-air refuelings

the B-2's are based in missouri, so missouri to afghanistan, and then back

An a-10 went over our school when I was in 2nd grade. It was the coolest thing ever especially since I was really into planes back then.

A-10's buzz our lake all the time in the summer. They like fly low because the mountians surround them on either side.

spitifres? wtf thats a piston engine fighter from WW2, absolutly no reason they would be flying with a B52, those things are vintage and you'd pay literally millions for one of the few left these days.

you may be one of the stupidest people alive. Sometimes they travel at the speed of sound which is why that happens.

Nah man, theyd just fly them to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean and base em outta there, theres no way a pilot could last 40 hours jus tto bomb a target

On the Normandy beaches in Europe 3 planes flew over in a side by side formation, I thought it kinda suited the setting we were in.

actually ur wrong because they first bombing missions they used them and they were located at their base in alabama and they flew non stop.. it was on the discovery channel and history channel

Yea, b-2s are pretty sweet.

And no, whoever it was, did not see a spitfire, let alone 2 of them with a b-52 (which isn't stealth just to let you know)

a few years ago i was in normandy at the american cemetery, and 3 f-16s flew low over us, and dipped their wings...i thought it was appropriate.

wiked dope dood!

last year i went to school right next to the biggest air force reserve of C130 gunships in the country. For those that dont know, they are BIG ass 4 prop planes, loaded to the brim with guns. needless to say, those fuckers were pretty much constantly in the air around campus, flying supppper low. like, low enough to see pilots.

nope, before they moved the b-2s to diego garcia the very first strikes on afghanistan we're missioned based out of missouri

they interviewed a usaf pilot and he said it was a 40-hour flight with 6 refuelings

i think they have shut down bombing operations from diego garcia as of a few weeks ago now

YEAH RIGHT it couldnt be a stealth bomber if you saw it and heard it thats why its called STEALTH! HELLOOO!?!?!?!?!!!

im tellin you man,a world war 2 b52 bomber and 2 spitfires flew over us, and this was in england so its probably some memorial or air show goin on.

No it doesnt matter how high it is, it depends on how fast its flying only. If its close enough so that you can hear the sound, but its going faster then the speed of sound (like 750 mph ish if i remeber right) then its just that the jet goes by you before the sound waves even get to you. Thats how you get sonic booms and shit too when the waves pile up on eachother.

My dads buddy flew a fighter jet over his hometown when he was in the airforce and the sonic boom blew shutters off houses and set off car alarms and shit so he says.
