I agree that NS is much more than your typical website. BUT this is a forum with a ton of people from arround the world, most of which you will never meet. Getting all worked up about something someone says (offensive or not) is kind of a waste of energy.

I dont see anything wrong with your parents buying a car for you as long as you are humble about in, in which case atlantaski isnt. I bought my Saab 900SE with my own money, and im working on it with my own money. Its in perfect condition and i plan to keep it that way. Its a hobby for me and i take extremely good care of my car. Id take my Saab over your IS300 anyday. Ill respect andy only because he knows what hes doing with his cars, even though i personally dont like the cars, but thats ok, thats just personal preference.

a kid i know from school dropped out, so his parents went and bought him a luxury apartment in town. he still does nothing and its just a sad sight because he will keep wasting his life and go no were because everything he wants is just given to him whether he deserves it or not. off topic, but that's how I feel, whether its anything like your case or not.

i drive 1990 mercury grand marquis ls. someone told me it is a 5.0 liter v8, and i duct taped a cd player to the floor. it has 140 pounds of sand in the trunk for the winter.

Yeah, the Grand Marquis of those years had a low output 302 (5.0l) Ford engine, same 302 of mustang fame. Though it was made for low end torque and pulling people around. Grand Marquis are burnout machines... Go out to a parking lot and hold the brake down enough to keep the car from moving and start feathering the gas pedal while braking, you'll brakestand that fucker and it will spin for ages. We had my friend's 1984 going for almost a minute and a half. Though I dont reccommend doing it much you'll desttory the transmission and the tires, lol.
