Stop taking the internet so seriously dude. You're not acting like you're 30+. Show some maturity.

4 weeks post-ACL reconstruciton and meniscus surgery today. Going to physio tomorrow and if all is good I can get rid of this damn straight-locked leg brace. really looking forward to walking on my own accord again (im sure ill be hobbling for a bit with the atrophying) and no crutches. not to mention sleeping without propping up my leg and having it locked straight! praise healing.

dude the worst part about when i had ACL surgery was waking myself up moving my leg in the middle of the night, like the first after the operation. that shit sucks.

its all uphill from here.

Have any of you have gotten more into Lionel Richie recently?

Never wasn’t into Him. Stevie wonder goes hard too. Saw him live for the first time a few years back. Blind dude fucking rips it

Is there an over 40 lounge?

Ribs have healed but damn it's taken all year. Grabbed a pair of Kimbo's so looking forward to trying them out!

Hope you are all well!

Almost two weeks into new job, no coworkers in the "first job out of college" phase, and am almost able to pay rent with just one week of wages. Good stuff

100%. That and if you ever slip a bit in the shower and flex it hurts like a bitch. Had both of mine done 3 months apart in 2018. 31 now and both knees are doing amazing.

Turned 30 in April. Embracing my hair loss and shaved my head over the weekend. Should’ve done this awhile ago.

Do yourself a favor and start investing all that spare money as hard as you can. In 10 years you might have a house and nice cars and a beautiful wife if you play your cards right, don’t be like a sad victim card waving millennial

It’s not a millennial thing but rather a people thing, I’ve found. People love to commiserate and tell you all the reasons things won’t work out or you’re wrong. Saying “screw that” and pushing on, regardless, has helped me a lot in life.

I know, I’m just dunking on my peers because I’m tired of hearing what a rough life millennials have. I’m aware of the plight but dwelling on it improves nothing.

Pretty pathetic. I'm 34 and started in on my 401K late. I have 100K saved in the 401k. I can't save money to save my life anywhere else.

I had 10K in the stock market and I dropped 5K on car and 2500 on bills and then pissed away the other 2500 a few months ago. Now i have zero savings agian.

100k in the 401k is great. i just got access to my company's 401k this month, so i dont expect to have nearly that much in there by 34. however, i've been saving in my roth and brokerage for a little while, as well as in a money market account with money for a down payment eventually... maybe...

Doc gave me anti viral pills.

I'm fucking 34. I thought you get this shit when you're 60.

I have a coworker who has shingles flare-ups semi regularly. They told me it can be caused by stress

I think the Roth is the way to go. It's taxed first so less of a compound interest effect but with how our government is going these days I expect the tax rate to go up quite a bit by retirement age.

I do 5% into roth 10% into 401K. Company matches 3%. Key to retirement is the compound interest early on.

Put as much as you can afford in early on. It's important. I didn't start until 25 or so and have been hammering it for the past 9 years.
