First.. the americans could have easily disabled all of the japanese military powers instead of targeting civilians.. thats pretty fucking obvious, i cant believe you could not even think of that yourself. If they were going to use nuclear weapons then it should have been againts actual military threats and not civilians..

Second.. the Japanese people have nothing to do witht he decisions of their government... you fucking moron... They were under control of someone called an EMPEROR... maybe you dont know how that works because your a fucking imbecile, but he controls the decisions that the country makes, him and what ever government he has established

so the japanese people who have no control over anything their country does, DO NOT DECIDE THE DECISIONS OF THEIR COUNTRY... OR EVEN IF THEY WANTED TO END THE WAR THEY COULD NOT.

Targeting civilians is inhumane, what the americans did were wrong. what they should have done is target military compounds.. not a fucking city full of civillians: women, children, people who done fight(just incase your to fucking dumb and do not know what a civilian is)
 
there were no more military complexes of importance left. All that was left was the japanese homeleand with japanese soldiers dug in among civilians, and plans to arm the general populace, who were brainwashed to be 100% behind the war effort.

There is very little debate that dropping the bomb killed way less people than an invasion would have. And an invasion would have been neccesary to force the japanese surrender.

you sound young, and not real knowledgable on the topic. Its cool to think dropping the bomb was inhumane, but your idea to precision strike only military compounds is frankly rediculous. That would be like trying to win the war against the insurgents in iraq with b-52 bombers, and unguided bombs...see the issue there? On top of that, the japanese populace was ready and willing to fight to the death aginst the americans should an invasion happen.

the fact that you claiming that you know what the civilians motives are makes your argument invalid..

dont even try to justify that killing hundreds and thousands of civillians was right, and dont fucking lecture me on my knowledge of this topic because that is besides the point. Maybe we should have just wiped out everyone in iraq and afhganistan then that would solve our problems.. we dont do that because it is wrong, so why would it be considered any much better during the bombing of hiroshima and nagasaki

Dude, I was going to major in history I dont need to see a youtube video on Hiroshima. I have covered the topic from so many different angles it gives me hemroids thinking about it
 
After Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Tokyo there was a miracle. Within a few years after the war Japan had one of the largest economies in the world. Shit's been cool ever since.
 
The fucking audacity someone would need to ask "how would you like it if we did this to your country" well you surveying asshole, my countries leaders didn't side with hitler. My countries leaders didn't call to bomb pearl harbor and instigate this mess. But my country did give yours a fair warning and YOUR leaders told us to fuck off. After the first bomb we gave fair warning a second time. Your leaders didn't value their peoples lives. Not the other way around. I'm not trying to diminish the gravity and Tragedy of the event, right or wrong innocent ppl died. But that surveying piece of shit...

Yes it is right to throw out 20 lives for 50,000 deaths. shut up, hundred thousand japanese deaths or hundred thousand americans? we were at war and civilian casualties happen, especially in a brittle situation such as the japan conflict.... they didnt show much mercy on the civilians of pearl harbor did they....? or on the front lines of the pacific? forget about what they did to OUR fucking country or are you to ignorant to think two dimensionally? Its not like america is some country hellbent on ruining the lives of innocent civilians, we have engaged in multiple conflicts when genocide and a countries downfall is eminent, even if its not our fucking problem america tends to try to protect and save as many lives as possible. The fact of the matter is, we told them what our intentions were by dropping leaflets on the major cities, the citizens knew to evacuate as did the military but some roughly hundred thousand died at hiroshima and another 70-80 thousand at nagasaki even after we fucking dropped the first one....(you'd think they would realize we werent fucking around) as unethical and horrible nuclear weapons are they saved american lives and ended one of the most horrible wars of all time, and now, unfortunately, nuclear weapons are mandatory to be declared a "world power". dont be so ignorant

and i didnt mean it as a personal attack but when you say that all we americans are taught is that we were always in the right, and to not trust what they teach us because its lies, you come off as "still going through the rebellious phase". that is as one sided and ignorant as saying that we should trust anything and everything our teachers or govt teaches us.

no one is disputing the facts, we are simply arguing the morality of dropping the bomb. in my case i believe that the bomb was the best end to the war that we as americans could have expected.
