It's a false narrative that happens a lot in large corporations.
The thing is a few brands launched back into the twin tip space, with force. Rossi, Volkl, Dynastar even. But maybe Salomon saw it as, we pulled out, we found success with other product categories, let's not go back. This is all just a thought, take it with a grain of salt
