Anything new? Has someone saw the Magnus yet?

i doubt that there will be a magnus, or atleast under the name "magnus". willing to bet since he has been riding what look like lines lately. they will probably rename it the same way they did from kartel to jeffrey. either way tho seems like on3p is moving away from the park scene a bit

Dumbest thing I have heard this week.

lmao i was probably reaching a tiny bit but it still doesnt seem wrong. fanbase for on3p is shifting into the all mtn side forsure. not to mention no more team videos and riders being dropped/leaving it seems to make sense. and you didnt acknowledge the whole magnus thing so imma just assume its correct :) best of luck tho its a respectable move, park skiing is such a niche and almost volatile market that it makes sense to play it safe with all mountain shit. wont catch me paying 9 hundo to ride em down stairs lol

Wtf why should they move away from park scene...? I hope they dont. And for the Magnus I didnt saw him riding Lines. Where did you get that from? In his Insta bio theres still @ON3P as a mention...

I reached out to them on Insta and asked if they still make jeffreys and magnuses. They told me that:

''Hey - right now those would be custom only. Production shifted

later than normal this year due to covid related supply issues so we

won’t be starting stock Jeffrey’s until late august and Jessie until

about end of august then next round of park skis will start like mid

September. So website only going to list what is either completed or

actively in production.''

ON3P has always had an all mountain/direction fan base. The Billygoat has been one of their best selling skis since day 1. Many all mountain skiers have loved the ski's like the J-mo, Jeffrey/Kartel for a long time.

You have to go custom to even get a 900 dollar ski from ON3P. SO I'm not sure why people like you keep saying that.

As for what is on the site they just have what they have in stock right now, the rest of the graphics have not ben finalized.

Wasn't a version of the wren one of the first skis made? Seems like all mtn/directional skis have been in the works since the beginning (like you are saying)

Yes, I have owned one of the first Wren's. And a couple others over the years. Too much ski for me. The Vicik was one of the finest directional skis I have ever owned. The BG has almost a cult like following since day 1, and for good reason.

Looking forward to getting a Woodsman this year. And sizing my J108 down to a J102 I think, or the other way around. FML.

I noticed the woodsman 118 isn't up, is that being replaced by the bg118 this year or will it just be up later? Unrelated but I'm thinking I might throw a cast on a 50/50 layup bg110...sounds amazing

While it is a logical assumption to make, there is no such thing as Woodsman118. The 2022 Freeride / all mountain line is Woodsman102, Woodsman110 and BillyGoats. Woodsman116 can still be ordered through customs if you want a wider Woodsman. :)

My friend said you can get pretty much any previous topsheet through the custom order by adding it to the order notes or emailing on3p, is this true?

The bolded statement is 100%, categorically wrong.

It is a pretty far stretch to extrapolate what one single team rider chooses to ride as of late as the basis for blanket statement of where the entire brand is headed.

Yes, there will be some changes to the park lineup for 2022 when it will be released, but worry not - ON3P is not by any stretch of the imagination moving away from freestyle skiing, be it in park, urban or swerving all over the mountain. So swervers rejoice! :)

Also, there is a lot more to ON3P's fanbase than what has been showed in their team videos the last few years.

That Iggy would create a slightly more directional ski that would appeal to the masses and can potentially be as popular ski as the Jeffrey108 is not indicative of a shift in ON3P's focus, it just makes sense. Both from a business perspective and to please those of us who want a more directional ON3P that is slightly more lively and with more centered mount point than Wrenegades. Still, as far as I know Jeffrey and Magnus remain ON3P's most popular lines, by miles.

So happy days - the new lineup is sick, caters to more skiers than ever before and there is more news coming. I dunno when or the details yet, but I know enough to put the statement above to rest once and for all :)

Interesting, do you know why the new bg118s aren't res?

No RES? That somebody forgot to mention it in the description of the ski?

The changes to the new BG are

- new lenghts

- a slight softer overall flex pattern

- slightly wider, slightly more ski out front / mount point has moved back a bit

- a slight reduction in tail splay and

- no more asym.

The construction is the same as last year including RES.

It will still absolutely kill powder and variable like the 2021 version, but just be even better at it. :)

a lot of them, but not all. Just send them an email and they will let you know if the one you crave is offered or not. I have been lucky in the past that the ones that I've wanted have been offered. :)

Past ON3P catalogues can be found here

sharing info and stoke is the entire point of these forums no, so worry not ;)

I do not know what the new mount point is to be honest.

ON3P's skis often have some slight variation in mount point between sizes within a particular model, so your best bet is to ask ON3P directly about a given model+length :)

[tag=255301]@kid-kapow[/tag] how do you know all this info? Thanks btw!

The TGR thread is over 400 pages. There is a ton of info usually in there due to the collective nerding out over tiny details. I think tweaks to the BG as kind of a grail ski for the TGR crowd are scrutinized pretty heavily.

I'm sure he also e-mails a lot.

Wait so you mean to tell me ON3P has a fan base outside of Newschoolers?! No way.

I have been obsessing over minute details in various ski designs while agressively quiver building over the last few years. As ON3P is my favorite brand and produce my favorite resort skis I know a bit more about their skis than other brands. I've also been pestering Iggy&crew over the same period. There's usually a ton of info online through NS and TGR, and if not, ON3P are usually more transparent than most if you just ask politely.

So these factors combined with an ok ability to retain information has made for a bit of insight wrt the questions at hand. I am by no means an insider nor am I affiliated with the brand, but I know enough and am enough of a fanboy that I wanted to shield Iggy from having to deal with "ON3P is quitting park skiing"-rumors by saying that such rumors are unfounded. I am glad if any of my replies are helpful to you guys and not too much fanboyery ;)

honestly really doesnt seem wrong at all. siver got dropped/left, magnus has been seen riding lines a few times, and there hasnt been any team videos in almost 2 years. im obviously not saying theres a full shift in on3ps identity but its super obvious that something is up within the company. otherwise why would all the above stated shit have happened? not to mention that session and all the other on3p dudes on here have been dancing around the magnus/siver topic forever now

i can totally see where you come from and why you jump to these conclusions, but some of the key assumptions you base your leaps on are wrong. I'll defer to Iggy and others to set the record straight. Sorry if it makes me seem like an overly secretive douche, but it is not my info to divulge.

Just ask yourself, does it make sense from a business perspective to drop or shift away from what is arguably your largest segment?

Ater all, the Jeffrey is a freestyle ski that is equally at home on kickers in and out of the park in all but the widest width, while the Magnus line is 100% dedicated park and urban ski.

Besides the occasional charger, remember that the twin pillars of ON3P have been and will continue to be freestyle / playful skis and slaying of pow. The emergence of a playful charger aka the Woodsman line will not change that - it just spreads the stoke out to more people :)

The Crushin Cans park ski - aka Mr Meeks version of the Magnus102 - is live. I have no idea if it is "just" a standard m102 or if it is partially edgeless like depicted above.

the current crushin cans park ski in stock are the standard Magnus102 shape. a slightly different park ski is coming.

Maybe I'll go skiing this year, what should I buy :)
