All aboard the Broncos bandwagon

?? If there's a band wagon it's definitely Carolina.

That being said I've always been a broncos fan. If they play their best it'll be a good game.

Well that fucking sucked. Incredible defensive display from the Broncos, really did a remarkable job pressuring Brady over and over again and not letting Edelman or Amendola get open. On top of that you add some poor execution by the Pats and Denver comes out with a win.

Also, pretty remarkable the way that the Patriots tablets don't work the first quarter and a half or whatever it was and nobody makes a peep. Just like nobody has made a peep about the Manning HGH allegations. Obviously it doesn't really matter, but can you imagine what the reaction would have been had this game been in New England and Denver's tablets didn't work? Goodell would have probably had a firing squad choppered in at half time to kill Brady. Just another example of how differently the Patriots are treated from every other team in the league. Just truly amazing.

Panthers better win this Super Bowl. Can't stand the thought of Manning falling ass backwards into a Super Bowl victory after having done absolutely nothing all season to deserve it. Truly, truly unjust to see Manning in this game and not Brady after all he has been through with Deflategate, especially when contrasted with the way Manning has been treated like a fucking hero for being accused of using HGH.

lol did anyone else see the fan fall out of the stands onto the field after that last TD?

definitely redemption time for both teams. Will be interesting seeing how the game plays out.

Best quote I have seen all weekend about the Denver vs. Pats game (not mine)

"I hope Marcus Cannon found Von Miller for a post-game handshake. It would be really sad if he left Denver without getting his hands on Miller at least once."

Like all season, the Bronco's did just enough to win in the end.

It is a shame Larry won't get a shot at a title, he is the epitome of class.

FEAR THE 12TH MAN!
http://www.king5.com/story/sports/n...ls-cam-newton-ban-centurylink-field/79339444/

After Newton and the Panthers beat the Seahawks in the playoffs last week, Newton was seen throwing a 12 Flag to the ground. That led to a letter on Facebook by a woman named “Sarah” to Newton, calling him “classless.” The letter went viral.

Then on Monday, a fan posted a petition to ban Newton from CenturyLink Field, the Seahawks’ home stadium. The Panthers visit the Seahawks next season.

“Cam Newton is one of the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual (sic) on the face of the planet. So I say for the 2016-2017 when the Panthers come to play in Seattle he should be banned from entering the stadium. This should teach him to put his arrogance in check!!” wrote Andrew Tilton on the petition posted on Change.org.

The petition was approaching 1,000 signatures Tuesday morning.

GTFO of here hahahahahaha

Yeah, absolutely ridiculous. Has there ever been a softer, more entitled, more clueless, just totally moronic fanbase in the history of sports than Seahawks fans? I really don't think so. If it were any other team I'd say this stuff just couldn't be real, but because it's the Seahawks it just makes sense. All this stuff is so Seattle, and so Seahawks, that it hurts.

And the worst part is that you know all these fans signing these insane petitions to ban Cam and Troy Aikman and Joe Buck from entering Centurylink sincerely believe in their heart of hearts that they are the greatest, most dedicated fans in the history of sports and that no other team benefits from their fans the way the Seahawks do, because, of course, they're the 12th man. Little do 99% of Seahawks fans know, they have to pay Texas A & M, the team they stole the phrase from, to use it.

Just beyond pathetic.

Isn't that great?

Let's construct a stadium that intentionally amplifies crowd noise back into the field of play. That is as disingenuous as pumping in crowd noise.

You don't want Cam Newton to toss your 12th Man flag all over the field? Don't have a team that allows him to disembowel your "Legion of Boom" made up of a corner that plays zone on one side of the field & a safety that was exposed as a poor cover safety. Don't have a coach that looks like an old Owen Wilson, who stands on lockers and rah-rahs his team. I'm sorry, Seattle, but that Divisional game against Carolina was never close.

"Throw it, Bev. Throw it."

"It's a great play to score a touchdown against those guys, unless it doesn't happen"

My all-time favorite Pete Carroll quotes.

And then claim that because this stadium makes us sound louder than we really are, we are obviously by far the best fans not just in the NFL, but in sports period.

People say Pats fans are the worst, but at least we don't write petitions trying to ban players from our stadium because they hurt our feelings when they beat us and don't blame losing on things like tablets or headsets not working properly. More than can be said for a lot of fan bases.

I mean, nothing in pro/college sports is original, they all play the same music, they all have the same chants. What do you expect? The 12th man thing for the seahawks is a HUGE marketing thing, theyre obviously gonna push the shit out of it.

We could also talk about how much they play that loud ass horn at the patriots stadium, I swear that on a final drive for the away team, they play it on 2nd, 3rd and 4th down, its fucking ridiculous.

Having been to a dozen games at Gillette, they only play it on 3rd down.

The Denver Bronco's Public Address Announcer leads the entire stadium in an "In-com-plete" chant after every opposing incomplete pass. That is actually the most Harry Highschool pathetic bullshit in professional sports.

Dude, no way. Every playoff game in the 4th Q they were playing it on 2nd down too. I was giving my friend shit who was a pat fan who was sitting right next to me, they played it so many fucking times.

I expect Seahawks fans to be smarter than the marketing people for the Seahawks telling them how great they are because they stole a slogan from a college. But they aren't. Seahawks fans are all too happy to believe whatever the Seahawks marketing people tell them as long as it lets them feel like the special snowflake fans of the NFL, which it clearly does.

Not really sure what that has to do with Seahawks fans convincing themselves they're the greatest fans in the history of football and nobody comes close because they have a stadium that amplifies noise and they stole the 12th man slogan from Texas A&M? I've never heard a single Pats fan talk about how Pats fans are the best in the NFL because Gillette stadium plays a horn sound.

Right, but they aren't all equally annoying, and Seahawks fans are way, way worse than almost any other fanbase.

Except for pats fans...

I dunno, I'd say writing a letter to Cam asking him to think of how Seahawks fans are supposed to explain his actions to their children and writing petitions banning announcers from commentating their games or players from entering their stadiums are far, far worse than anything Pats fans do.

13615119:eheath said:
Mostly because 90% of my friends are from New England and 50% of them are bandwagon patriot fans, its annoying AF

that's a fair point, for sure.

I'm just tired of all the talk that Patriots fans are intolerable because the fan base has defended the team so staunchly for the last 15 years. Every single one of the team's successes, in the eyes of Patriot haters, is tainted. The objective football fan understands the severity, or lack thereof, of deflated footballs. The objective football fan understands that when the Patriots were caught filming opposing teams' signals, so were every other team. "Objective" Patriots fans recognize that the Patriots needed to be made an example having recently won a Super Bowl. But alas, the negative voices are always the loudest... the ones calling the Patriots cheaters, the ones calling Tom Brady a pussy, etc. etc. They relish in the Patriots defeat, despite the fact that they seem to always be losing on Championship weekend.

Not to mention, the Patriots aren't even inside the Top 10 list of teams accused to have been "cheating". The Broncos find themselves atop that list, with NYJ & NYG not too far behind.

When it comes down to it, any bandwagon fan is annoying as fuck and I see patriot fans as the worst because the 10ish states in NE all "cheer" for the pats because its "where they're from" even when they don't watch football until they're in the playoffs.

On the contrary, Seattle is emerging as a top NFL team in the last 8 years, which is a very short amount of time, even less since pete carroll took over (clear reason why they're so good). Of course they're all "bandwagon" fans because their team has be absolute garbage for years and tons of new people are moving to the area as well. It's pretty tough to tell people that spend money on gear, spend money on tickets and cheer for a team they like in their city to shut up because they're 'bandwagon' fans.

Overall, most fans suck, they'll always be bias for their teams and talk shit on anyone who doesn't have a team. I don't have an NFL team I necessarily cheer for, I love the sport and watching every single team play, then my friends who are die hard fans of their team (mostly pats, some green bay, some other teams as well, solely based on where they grew up) talk shit cause I'm not loyal to a team. Fuck that noise

Non-Seahawk fans claiming to be Seahawk fans are giving us a bad rep.

Banning Cam Newton?--so stupid. I hate Cam Newton with all of my heart and wouldnt sign something so stupid. If anything, I want Cam to play at the CLink as much as possible.

No offense, because obviously not all Seahawks fans are like that, but I'm fairly certain the thousands of people signing these petitions are Seahawks fans. This is, honestly, the most Seattle/PNW thing of all time: start a petition to get an athlete banned from your city on the grounds that he was disrespectful and hurt your feelings. Just doesn't get more Seattle than that.

I was born and raised in Massachusetts, but moved out to Seattle and lived there all of last year. If I had to pick one thing to sum up the PNW, this would be it.

Two things:

1: Brady and the pats have been proven cheaters on multiple occasions, so it's safe to say that they have that stimga. That being said, anytime there is anything fishy coming from the patriots organization they will be scrutinized heavily. They did it to themselves, people don't forget. The Broncos don't have that stigma which is obviously why they weren't getting questioned about the tablets. Also, remember when the players weren't face first into the screen of the tablet during the defensive set?

2: The HGH allegations came from fucking Al Jazeera. Super reputable news source when it comes to sports. The claims have also been redacted.

Not a Broncos or pats fan. Pretty stoked to see Brady get beat and am looking forward to the qb matchup in the SB.

1. The Bronco's are the most accused franchise of cheating in NFL history. The don't have that stigma because they didn't win Super Bowls in a world where Twitter dictated public perception. Tom Brady and the Patriot's have won 4 Super Bowls in 15 years, in an age where you are guilty unless proven innocent, in the court of public opinion. The New England Patriots are the 23rd most accused franchise of cheating.

2. Al Jazeera America is perhaps the most un-biased main-stream news organization in the western hemisphere. They are not in the pockets of any political party to the degree of Fox news or MSNBC. They are not on the payroll of any sports organizations like ESPN, Fox Sports One, NBCSN, etc. They indicated that many athletes across a spectrum of sports were illegally supplied PEDs from an anti-aging clinic, Peyton Manning just happened to be one of them. The claims were redacted by Charles Sly, who redacted them only after learning they were published. AJ confirmed the dates of his employment with the Guyer Clinic HR department after Guyer himself lied about Sly's employment. Do some fact-checking.

Proven? PROVEN? Come on now, the Wells Report did not even come to a clear conclusion, it said "more probable than not". Since then, numerous scientists have come out disproving the methods used by the NFL and instead indicated that there was no tampering.
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/1-year...-science-shows-shame-of-it-all-073316233.html

"As time has allowed more serious analysis to come in, the results have been an overwhelming destruction of the conclusions of Wells, Exponent and the consulting work of Princeton professor Daniel Marlow.

It's been from all directions: the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (multiple studies), Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Chicago, Boston College, the University of Nebraska, the University of Illinois, the University of New Hampshire, Bowdoin College, Rockefeller University, where a Nobel Prize winner couldn't have lampooned it more viciously, and so on and so on"

Now, you will obviously bring up SpyGate.

What you may remember is the Boston Globe coming out and saying a member of the Rams staff caught the Patriots taping a walk through before the SB. What you may not remember is this redaction.

"On Feb. 2, 2008, the Boston Herald reported that a member of the New England Patriots' video staff taped the St. Louis Rams' walk through on the day before Super Bowl XXXVI. While the Boston Herald based its Feb. 2, 2008 report on sources it believed to be credible, we now know that this report was false, and that no tape of the walk through ever existed"

So take that shit out of here and forget it.

So, that leaves us with the one accusation, the filming of opposing teams. Let me indulge you with another beautiful quote from Jimmie Johnson, a former coach of the Dallas Cowboys and current media commentator:

"This is exactly how I was told to do it 18 years ago by a Kansas City Chiefs scout. I tried it, but I didn't think it helped us. Bill Belichick was wrong because he videotaped signals after a memo was sent out to all teams saying not to do it. But what irritates me is hearing some reactions from players and coaches.

These players don't know what their coaches are doing, and some of the coaches have selective amnesia because I know for a fact there were various teams doing this. That's why the memo was sent to everybody. That doesn't make Belichick right, but a lot of teams are doing this".

So, to think that they were the only team cheating is both ignorant and stupid. They were merely made an example of because they pushed the line too much after that memo. Is it cheating? By the laws of the game, yes. But then again, so are the various players that have used PEDs (Derek Wolfe of the Broncos anyone?) and yet no one criticizes them like they do the Patriots.

And Al Jazeera was the first newspaper that came out and talked about the Flint Michigan issue almost a year ago, so do not jump to discredit them so quickly. There is a reason the MLB and NFL are now investigating the claims.

13616012:.MASSHOLE. said:
There is a reason the MLB and NFL are now investigating the claims.

BenWhit and MASSHOLE both summed it up pretty well, so I won't repeat what they said. But basically, yeah, any educated football fan knows that the Patriots were caught doing things every team in the league does and made an example of because they've been beating everyone for the last 15 years, Belichick is a dick to reporters (which for some reason makes people mad, even though Gregg Popovich does the same thing for the Spurs and people love him for it), and Brady is really good looking and marries supermodels. Jim Nantz told us on national television that Aaron Rodgers also breaks the rules about football PSI, but nobody gave a shit because the Packers haven't had the success the Patriots have in the 21st century.

The real problem is uneducated people such as yourself, NBCskier, don't do research or really figure out what happens and just read headlines fed to them by ESPN and the media and are all too happy to believe them because they don't like the Patriots being good, either. So please, try and educate yourself and understand the issues you're talking about before bashing Brady, Belichick and co.

Also, the NFL initially declined the USADA's offer to cooperate in investigating Al Jaazera's claims, and only flip flopped and agreed to do it after people started calling them out on it. If that's not trying to sweep the issue under the rug, I don't know what is.
