was it because the iggles suck a dick or the lions were absolutely dominant today? either way, I like this team right now.

The lions definitely look better than the beginning of the year. That being said that wagles defense is god awful. Last wek giving up 5 tds to a rookie quarterback? Theres rumers that chip has lost the team and that the players dont believe in him or respect him at all. Maybe theyre tanking and hoping he will leave or get fired.

lol chips goose is cooked, there is no way he has a coaching gig next year. id be surprised if he finishes the season out. But yeah, MEGATRON IS FUCKIN BACK. god damn, Stafford lit it up today. Got back to our truck after shreddin some pow laps and checked the scored. Made the day even better, I used to love going down to the city for thanksgiving games, easily the best ones of the year with or without a win. I remember the lions murdering the bears one year and it was glorious.

Von Miller should be locked up for that late hit on Brady. Animals like that should be kept behind bars for the safety of humanity.

Don't you think it's a little pathetic that you're more excited about the Patriots losing than your team winning? And please don't try to deny it, because it's incredibly obvious that it's true.

When are the Patriots players going to learn that the opposing team is allowed to do literally whatever they want to them in the backfield, while they will be penalized for anything that comes close to being a penalty? You'd think by now they'd understand that everything is stacked against them and they have to be perfect or they'll be called for penalties.

When will the injuries end? At this point Belichick should seriously consider benching every remaining healthy starter for the rest of the season. Forget home field advantage, at this point they just need to make it to the playoffs without anyone else getting hurt.

Also if anyone has confirmation of the injury I'd love to see it. There is no way an MRI has already been done. They don't have those at the stadiums. So you patriot fans should cross your fingers.

Looks like graham tore his patella

And from what I've seen gronk doesn't seem to be injured.... Videos of him walking with a very slight limp and reports in Twitter from Adam schefter saying its a minor injury.

I feel like whenever someone has a serious injury they are not going to roll around whipping their limbs from side to side. Most of the time they will stay pretty still like Graham did.

I honestly thought Gronk got charlie horsed or something.

He was seen walking out of the x-ray room with a slight limp but under his own power. Good sign, but I imagine he is out for at least a game plus if it is a strain.

That being said, I am sorry, but that OPI call on him was RIDICULOUS. EVERY single WR in the league does that but does not get called. I know, I may sound salty because we lost but it happened in another game and I was just as salty about it but it did not directly affect the game in the end.

Questionable refereeing has been seen in so many games this season and it is a shame it is affecting so many outcomes.

Oh well, I will gladly take another 18-1 if it means a different outcome ;).

Congrats Broncos fans, looks like Brock is a good fit for Kubiak.

And my fellow Pats fans, let us not forget that from 4Q on we lacked Gronk, Edelman, Amendola, Hightower, Collins, and Lewis yet still made it competitive. 4 out of those 6 players are Pro-Bowl caliber players. Sure a loss sucks, but I would rather lose now than in the playoffs.

Do not forget how well Logan Ryan and Malcom Butler played tonight either, they kept those two WRs down for much of the game.

...Yes it is pathetic. The Dolphins are pathetic. Please forgive me for being excited that another team in my division has lost. Please forgive me for finding some joy in in the Patriots losing. Don't act like if the situations were reversed you wouldn't be excited for the Dolphins losing. Or would you be rooting for your fellow division pal to go undefeated and break the only thing that your team has. I'm not sorry for being excited the Patriots lost. Now if the Panthers run the table and win it all, go undefeated, that would be a cool thing to see since Shula's son is a coach on the team.

My team sucks, we have sucked for so long, so fuck off. Your team doesn't suck. You've been good for over a decade, you guys just won a Super Bowl, but please call me out all you want now that you're pissed you won't get a perfect season and beat the only thing the Dolphins have over you.

You're not being salty, that was a horrible call. As was the "holding" on Pat Chung. But that's Goodell and the NFL this year: let teams get away with whatever they want against Gronk and the Pats, but if Gronk and the Pats come close to committing a penalty, call it on them every time. If anyone wants proof, just look at the hold call on Chung vs. the no hold call against I think it was Keshawn Martin on the Pats drive in overtime that Brady was pissed about.

Hey, as long as you admit it's pathetic, I totally forgive you. You're not the only person who enjoys watching the Patriots lose more than their team win, I just think it's sad that most people don't admit this is the case, bur you did, so it's all good. No need to get angry. And I'm not mad. Like I said, I don't care if the Pats win another regular season game at this point, I just want to make it to the playoffs without anyone else getting hurt.

Trying to be as objective as possible in my takeaways from last night's game.

Jerod Mayo, welcome back. Jerod has had a tough time getting on the field this year as the Patriots have primarily been in a 4-3 with Hightower, Collins, & Freeney playing most of the snaps. Collins' illness opened the door for Mayo to show flashes of the stud Mike linebacker we all know and love. He put pressure on Osweiler all night long with some excellent delayed A-gap blitzes. That said, losing Hightower was a MASSIVE blow to the run-defense. The statistics speak for themselves. Before the Hightower injury, the Broncos carried something like 17 times for 43 yards and a touchdown. Without Hightower, the Broncos carried 13 times for 137 yards and a touchdown.

I knew Logan Ryan's performance in Q1-Q3 was too good to be true! He has played well statistically, but the fact is he is still Logan Ryan and will poop in his pants when the game is on the line. He smothered Thomas all night long, holding him to 1 (?) catch on 10+ targets in the first three quarters. Then, when it matters, he gives up a TD on a lollipop to Caldwell's back shoulder in the end-zone and a bomb to DT. If he gets his head around on that TD, it is a game-sealing interception.

Gostkowski has ice in his veins. Earning his money. A 47 yard FG as time expires in the snow is nothing to scoff at.

Brady threw the ball as well as he has all season last night, proving once again that he is the best QB of all time, and the best bad-weather QB of all-time. I would have liked to see more completions on the deep ball, but he's not exactly throwing to Randy Moss. Chandler & LaFell made some key catches, as well as Bolden on the TD, but he is not playing with much. We need help and some luck. James White needs to make an impact, but it seems like he is always down at first contact.

The Denver defense is legit, but they are not a team I am afraid of going forward. Brady had his way with the defensive backfield. It would have been nice to run the ball, but they don't need to when he is slinging it like that.

Last night was the final nail in the coffin for Peyton Manning. Osweiler played well, was inaccurate & held the ball too long at times, but still won. Most importantly, he has velocity on the ball. It is going to be fun to watch him develop.

I will never blame the referees for a loss. Any good team should be able to beat the refs, but the Patriots got hosed on some game-altering calls last night. The Gronk OPI was absurd. Defender initiates contact beyond 5 yards, Gronk shakes him with an elbow, gets OPI on a HUGE 3rd down completion. He has been the subject of some putrid OPI calls this season, while defenders are allowed to have their way with him. The Pat Chung holding call was equally as ticky-tacky. I don't know how you cover receivers anymore. The LaFell no-call on a big third down was despicable.

10-1 is still sitting pretty. The Patriots were very much in position to win the game with scrubs playing WR, LB, & DB. When this team is healthy, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Too true. Amazing that it doesn't seem to matter what happens as long as Brady is out there. If it turns out Gronk is not that hurt, then I consider this game a win at this point. Losing Gronk is way bigger than losing to the Broncos.

You think osweiller takes over for manning? manning was like awfully but theyre were still winning a lot of games..

Yes. Brock can fit in Kubiak's system, Peyton likes his own way. If Brock keeps winning, I can't see them going back. DEN looks more potent on offense with Brock IMO.

Hey now, dont go putting words in my mouth. Its not my fault the dolphins cant win, thus I cant get to enjoy watching them win. Not angry here, well actually yes I am angry. Fuck the Dolphins. Drafting terribly for a decade or more. Our starting QB is a fucking WIDE RECEIVER. Get rid of Tanne already, he's never going to be good enough to win it all, maybe not even good enough to make the playoffs. But no, instead give him a HUGE contract. I guess I can be happy we fired another coach? Hopefully we lose every game left so we can draft a dud early to save the rest of the league from the next big draft bust.

Denver's run game is effective when they get the stretch play going, opening up cutback lanes like you saw last night. Peyton physically cannot get the ball to the RB on the stretch play. Look at the %snaps under center for Peyton vs. Osweiler. Kubiak wants the QB under center and Peyton has a block of lead in his ass these days. They can't win with Manning forever, he's done.

yeah i totally agree, i think elway likes brock too. gonna be hilarious watching espn suck mannings dick over the next few weeks and second guess denver. peyton is still at least a week away so if he can win again next week this will be interesting.

Now that we know Gronk isn't too seriously injured, Kraft should find some nice, cozy, private island to hide Gronk and hire an army to protect him from Goodell's goons who have surely already been dispatched to find Gronk and make sure he becomes seriously injured.

Gotta go research Kraft's cell number, if anyone has it, please PM me.

Fuck you, Goodell!!!!!

I heard goodell actually tried to shoot him from the private box, only grazed his knee, he won't miss next time.

Goddamn. Didn't hear about that. The situation is even more dire than I imagined. I thought Gooddell would just have the goons go after Gronk with a crowbar or two and bang on him until something actually did tear, but they're going in to kill? Is there any line Goodell wouldn't cross in his relentless quest to bring down Kraft, Belichick, Brady, and the Pats?

Did you notice that gronk went from "possibly being back in less than a week" to "being out for multiple weeks"??? it already happened!!!

Jesus that fucker moves fast. I tried to warn Kraft, but, alas, it was already too late. Solder, Collins, Lewis, Edelman, Amendola, Hightower, and now Gronk, all taken out by Goodell and his henchmen. Where will it end? Is Chandler Jones safe? Is Brady safe? Are any of us safe? Only time will tell. Sleep with both eyes open tonight, Pats fans, Goodell is coming.

I think it is largely precautionary and reports will vary depending on the source. how quickly he returns is largely dependent on his pain tolerance and management. deep bone bruises take a while to heal completely and we don't want him to re-injure it. While all his ligaments are intact, you never want to compound on an injury.

whats scary is the patriots will basically be completely healthy come playoff time as long as nothing crazy happens in the next few weeks. i can see belicheck resting gronk for longer than needed. i dont see them slipping from the number 1 seed and amendola will be back, edelman by playoff time.

Personally, I want to see Jimmy G get some snaps. I love Jimmy G, I think he's a gamer. He's the kind of player that doesn't necessarily "pop" at practice, but in-game he finds ways to get it done. Unfortunately, that'll never happen so long as Brady can stand on his own & his arm hasn't fallen off.

Think about the players that have/will miss significant playing time but will be returning in the next few weeks, leading into the playoffs.

Hightower

Collins

Edelman

Gronkowski

Amendola

Jabal Sheard (returned last week)

Bryan Stork (returned two weeks ago)

Michael Williams (blocking TE)

Season-ending IR (of note):

James Develin (McDaniels loves using a FB in the McOffense)

Deon Lewis

Nate Solder

This team will be a force to be reckoned with. When healthy, that defensive front seven is one of the best in the league. I cannot wait for the playoffs.

The season is now three quarters of the way done! can't believe it.

I was completely joking around with bogs dude haah

What on earth happened? Turned it off after that big 3rd and 12 then checked fantasy. My opponent played Eddie lacy Crosby and Rodgers. I was jumping with joy for most that game. Eddie doing squat is good though.

I haven't stopped smiling all day. That hail mary was amazing. One of the most memorable plays I've ever seen.

I could care less what people are saying about the facemask penalty. Because of it we got to see something special. Blame the refs all you want but what Aaron did was incredible.

i mean he just kind of threw it really far. if thats what you mean by impressive then yeah. but was he throwing it to rodgers? FUCK NO. sportscenter needs to get off his sack.

well, at least they get nab a decent GM soon or something. until then, ill be watching the wings be just as inconsistent as the lions and maybe nab a playoff spot in april. pceee.

Isn't that the exact point of a hail marry? Your comment is more than ironic considering big rus through a perfect pass to golden taint right? lol....
