2013-2014 gear

Have you, or is there ever going to be the possibility of an insulated Trew jacket? I understand layering and good technical outerwear but at the end of the day, where I live, it sucks to be wearing 3-4 layers and a jacket just to stay warm. Even as the day goes it never warms up enough to the point where you'll shed a layer. So for that reason I've been sticking to insulated stuff and would love to see an insulated option.

Thanks for advice! I'm not totally sure if an insulated option is in the works for 2015 or not, but I'll be sure to put this bug in the big boys ears! As for now the jackets are a little heavier than most shells out there in my opinion so that helps with warmth. Also, check out the Polar Shift thats coming out next year. It's a great option for wearing under your jacket and hopefully would make it so you only have to wear one layer under your jacket...I know it's not 100% what you're looking for, but for now I think it could be a great option.

@NorthCascadeProd. That's actually a really solid option. And it can be worn as a mid layer ok? Any pricing details? I'm really liking it, would be a sick jacket for around town to...

Yes it's a great option for a layer and it an be worn as alone as main jacket since its waterproof. Plus it's reversible so you'll look super fly around town! Haha Not sure on the price if say in the $200 range

Got to ride the new cody yesterday. Such a sick ski, would be amazing as a park ski.

New volkle one and two werent a big deal. They actually kinda sucked. Quite grabby and not energetic at all.

Future spins, crazy light. Too light if you ask me.

New blend sick as always, another great park ski option.

Shreditor 112, Fun skis, they just didnt really stand out. Kinda chattery.

Rode the new punx and infamous' today. Both are incredibly fun and it's hard to choose which is better. The infamous has a landing zone I think they called it which is like the edge is a little different in the front contact points. Either way it's a great ski and a great new addition to the atomic line

How do next years' punx compare to this years?

I heard they are quite a bit stiffer.. do you think too much?

nevermind. just saw the 2014 booters, and they look ugly as shit. Kinda look goth. I will stick to my wu-tang color booters!

I'm not really sure about this year compared to next years because I haven't ridden this years, but compared to last years they are quite a bit stiffer. I wouldn't say they felt too stiff though. They definitely had a good amount of pop and playfulness

Really light and slarvy. Carves well, light swing weight. Butterable. Stomps. Doesnt really feel wide.

Would work well as park skis.

no to mention it's only 400 msrp, and the punx are only 500 msrp. such a great deal if you don't get pro deals or anything like that.

Considering the Cody or Jeronimo for my all mountain / park ski next year. As you've tried both which would you say you prefer? :)

In my sick state codys.

In my (hopefully) strong state jernimos.

They require more input to excell, which im not really able to give at the moment.

The cody is a much easier ski, not necesarially more fun. But different and easier. But still really fun.

I tested The Al dente last month. They have a early rise tip and tail and a crazy ass flex. I cased a jump to test the forgiveness and it was amazing, felt like I landed in the sweet spot. Im soooooo buying them next year.

i dont really think thats forgivness i think thats your knee's. in my mind forgivness is landing back seat or a bit off and being able not fall

Thats exactly what happened, I landed back seat when I cased it and the skis literally folded. Plus my left knee has Osgood sclatters disease until my growth plates stop growing, so yah it defiantly did not include my knees.

The Al Dente is suppppppper soft. I personally didnt like them on jumps at all. They were too soft. Just picked up my AlphaX. Sickest ski for next season. Can't wait to ride them this weekend.

they definately have some sweet stuff. I like the buttoned grey/black jacket and the all black jacket with little rasta feature.

Also like how the pants are just one coloured now with no big "FASC!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT OVERSEEME!!!!!!!!!" logo on them, makes them actually attractive...

hoodies still most look like pure shit, not to mention the shirts... (rasta hoodie looks good, but I guess that's my rastaddiction lol)

Anyone got a Nike catalogue? Kaya was wearing a really trippy jacket in Tignes and I wondered if they also have a male edition of it (looks a bit like tye die or just some foggy outerspace, anyway I really dig it)...

Because I sort of got bored of just colour blocks and felt like going all black is a bit boring, too...

Here's K2's 2014 skis.

Just got done trying out Next years K2 skis.

Tried the shreditor 102 and the 120. Wanted to try their park line but I had to get back to work. Maybe tomorrow...

102: really fun ski, I like the dimensions. Think they may be my next years park/all mountain ski. Super soft, really buttery, had some decent pop. Depending on te deal I can get I may have some very soon.

120: Petit's party snake. So much fun. Such an improvement over last years. They charge steep stuff and take the small drops I did very easily.

Super stoked on K2 so far this year.

It is confirmed that the Hellbent is dead, at least for public purchase

Yeh, the rumors I heard basically said that K2 wanted the 120 to be the widest ski they make. Let's face whilst the Hellbent is hella fun in the right conditions, it's just too specific; and people are generally moving away from the big floppy pow plank design as it is.

I dont think its too specific , a guy at my mountain uses them as his everyday ski in the park , and im not gonna lie , they look like a lot of fun . But yeh it looks really soft and rokered for light pow
