2013-2014 gear

Just FYI:

XL sizing: 36" Front Length. 23-24" half width (48" chest circumference, 46" waist circumference).

Lol you are wrong.. entirely. For starters there's the most talked about ski of next year the 'Al Dente', which is Henrik's new model. There's also a new halo.

I think we can safely say you have effectively provided the worst SIA coverage ever. But it's alright because it seems like you enjoyed yourself, and we weren't really counting on you anyway. Although those profile pics would have been nice..

How kind. I said I was a few drinks deep when I was finally looking around. I didn't have an appointment so I was simply hanging out. Last year there was so much going on all the changes were obvious. This year I just noticed a vast improvement aesthetically.

My purpose for going to SIA was entirely for the on hill demo, but my elbow is broken so I don't even know if I'll be able to do that. Only went to the show because I couldn't go skiing and I knew I'd be able to see old friends.

I apologize for offering to take a few photos while I was waiting for friends to show. I'm so sorry to have disappointed you.

I asked if I could get a shot of this. I was told I could if someone was wearing outside the show room. No one was. Sorry.

This is crazy, can't find the Moment lineup . There was a little segment on freeskier.com about the Ghost Train. Does anyone know where I can get some more info? Thanks.

yeah they made the ski a shit ton wider! like its crazy they beefed it up a lot

like for the 176 size underfoot is 94 its wider then the ARVs underfoot

and that means its gonna be a lot more stable and awesome! and they made the whole ski a lot wider to the 176 dimensions are 109-121-94-111-101

So the Thunderbolt (8-18 DIN) will pretty much be the same.

What is normally the Deadbolt series will be a little different. Tyrolia changed the toe piece on them and they now have a 13 and a 16 DIN binding, 4FRNT is calling them the Attack series. They have a wider toe piece which is lighter and a little bit less expensive to produce. It looks similar to the Marker toe piece but still has the adjustable wings on it.

Almost every Volkl shop in whis has the one and two in, fondled they today, damn they make a nice ski. Flex is dialed, not to stiff not too soft, really nice rocker profile, taper isn't too abrupt like a JJ, and they are surprising light for their size.

Super stoked on the new gear, fun weekend at SIA The bushy Wayne from Nordica is a beast. One brand I was really surprised on was surface, can't believe I'm saying that but I was really impressed as it looks as though the qualit has gone way up. Newish brand called slytech has this crazy balaclava with a sort of helmet built into it, kind of bulky but I imagine the idea will go far.

Stoked for on snow tomorrow, really wanna try the new atomic infamous

Definitely report back on the Infamous.. Really interested them for my next park/all mountain ski. Unless Surface one life's change my way...

The green life's are boneriffic, the life series was pretty cool and the free series is also pretty good, but the time series is gross. How did you see that the quality has gone up?

Idk I've held tons of surfaces before and they just seemed a little bit more refined. Or it could just be the new material they're using for the topsheets, super smooth. It's hard to explain but I will put that observation to the test tomorrow

I'm kinda up set that full tilt didn't put more replaceable/ rubber soles on their boots I don't see why they wouldn't it just makes the boot so much more user friendly.

yeah dude i got you the dimensions for the alpha (182) is 110-122-95-112-102 and the radius on the 182 is 18m so its a big difference from last years

no its tiny but its bigger compared to last year! its really tiny compared to the thall radius and ar7s... is it bad that its tiny??

Wow i didn't know this about surface. I ridea friends the other day and they felt slow but i never thought that it would be because of the base construction. That pretty much turns me off of them.

I also think that surface top sheets look cheap
