2013-2014 gear

No SIA video for Armada. Why are they so careful about the public seeing something that theyre going to end up buying anyways. I wont let you see this so you can get super excited as if i showed you anyways.

Armada is really just an image company. They have to hype that image, and create artificial secrecy.

some moment stuff from instagram

I found the 13/14 armada catalog while surfing through the interwebs not sure if im allowed to post that or if people will be angry at me, or angry if i dont post it.

Dayyyyyum.

Armada has some very nice outerwear and accessories. Pretty impressed by their Goretex line up, along with their layering, gloves, and poles (might even pick up a pair of carbon telescopics).

Never been a huge fan of their skis though (aside from the AR6(only Armada ski I've owned)).

damn I'm so disappointed by armada's new series, maybe even worse than this years;

camo doesn't look like actual camo, just flashy or almost black (grey camo is cool but I don't like it neither)

rasta tease of the gloves turned out to have like a beanie in rasta colours, halfways a hoodie and a jacket... damn man...

fievels look really bad this year... at least the black classic hoodie looks really clean

man... last years series was just their best outerwear line, this years was also pretty cool with the wolf but boring with the patterns... next years is like REALLY weird haha...

Did NS not cover Moment or Volkl at SIA, or did I miss it?..

And Armada's 'secrecy' is so dumb, I don't think they grasp the concept of a tradeshow..

Yep. While everbody else is getting people stoked on their new products, getting people interested in purchasing next years gear theyre busy trying to hide it so its some sort of suprise when it hits the shelves and maybe trying to save the sales of stuff later into the season. Also the appointments system seems retarded. Surely the whole point of a tradeshow is to show off to everybody else what innovation, ideas and products you have created for the coming year?

finally got the armada catalogue. I WANT EVERYTHING. I'm gonna have to save up a lot of money for next year. damn

I'm glad that Armada didn't go with the walmart colors this year. I really like that inspired vest too. I was expecting the al dente to have a more symmetrical rocker profile in the tips and tails

Seriously, I don't understand why it wouldn't at least have their 'park rocker' .. It seems like there's no rocker at all in the tail.. Too bad, I was actually considering the Al Dente for a second.. Not excited about any of Armada's skis next year.

Surprised that people are trying to introduce Roxa boots in north america. Basicly might as well just buy full tilts, or Diabello

no it's only in the tip. makes no sense for a park specific ski. also, giving it 2.2mm edges to save weight? gimme a fucking break. its a park ski, give it 2.5. how much weight does 0.3mm of edge actually save?

I'm curious about the wider halo2. I felt a pair a couple years ago and they were too stiff for my liking

the halo 2 is going to fucking slay! i was talking to kim boberg on instagram today and he said its much more playful becuase it wider like the thall and its going to be a lot more stable on jumps then the previous halo and going be even better for jibs and rails

Naw, the Halo 2s, forget to quote. They sound sweet especially with the softer flex and wider base but I cant stand the graphics

im not a huge fan of the outerwear. too much camo. it looks good and it will probbly grow on my but i didnt see anything that i really wanted in it

yeah i'm getting the halo 2 next year but i wish the graphics were better like fuck they piss me off but i don't choose a ski on graphics! .. but my friends demoed them up in Vermont and he said that they look MUCH better in person i guess so ill just get used to them! i am stoked to get them thou

super fun demo day today for SIA. tried out: atomic punx and infamous. armada aldente and arvTi. nordica soul rider. on3p fitly rich and prester. line chronic and blend.

ones I was super stoked on was the arvTi, rails turns harder than any other ski like it but still kills it on jumps. the Aldente was fun on jumps (wasn't allowed to hit rails since they were demos) but at speed it folds up. one thing I can safely say about the new on3p's is HOLY POP, so much fun on the jumps with the swing weight being so minimal and even. for whoever thought the punx were going to be different or worse, think again, they're more fun than ever and really make you love park laps even more. New lines were pretty much the same as last year. the nordics soul rider really stole me away on stability through icy groomers towards the end of the day, still railing turns hard (and it had a decent race tune hah).

next year's product is all time! although I will say I was upset with a lot of the graphics on most except the on3p's. everyone's getting super dull with graphics IMO

What'd he think of how they rode? I either wanna get those or the aldentes but the nose-only camber is kind of a turn-off, especially with how that will affect if i can center mount em.

obviously. i'm just waiting for armada to make something i'd consider. they come so close with a couple skis, but seem to leave out one or two things in each ski that turns me off.

like only giving tip rocker and thinner edges to a park skier's pro model park ski. if it didn't have hh's name attached, you'd think it was more of an all mtn ski.

he said the halos were absolutely amazing! he has the 2011/2012 and he said that next years are 10x more playful because there wider like the ar7 and t-halls.. there a lot more stable and there easier to get use to.. and i talked to Kim Boberg today on instagram and he said the same thing.. he said there the funniest ski ever... and you already now that there amazing for jibs and rails because of the rocker.. and i agree i don't like the idea of only the tip have rocker
