and this is how I know you havent ever skied them. they handle amazing on hard pack considering the width and shape. or maybe your legs arent strong enough to get them to turn.

Same could be said for the other side of the spectrum. If you can't ski super deep pow on something 120-130 at the waist then you can't really ski lol
 
they are hook monsters if you don't detune the taper and rocker in the tip and tail of the ski. the tune makes all the difference in the world with any ski that has some reverse taper/rocker combo. when the tune is right they ski just fine.

I have a pair of Magic J's (190) JJ's (185) Bibby's (190's) Blogs (185) ARG (186) and S7's (188).. .as well as a bunch of other skis

190 Magic J is hands down stiffer than any of the above mentioned skis

190 Magic J is Less Hooky than the any of the above mentioned skis. PS your argument of TOO MUCH TAPER + BEING HOOKY makes no sense.. since taper actually reduces the amount of hooking that occurs.

190 Magic J feels very similar in terms of turn radius to the Bibby (even though it has less turn radius) probably due to wider platform and extra taper..

190 Magic J has much stronger bases and edges than the Atomics or Rossignols listed above.
 
lol to everyone hating on me for my statement on powder skis:

1. yes I never skied some, I would love to ski one but not tooooo wide just don't like how it looks and stuff

2. I know that they handle piste well, my friend has some pretty wide ones, but I just couldn't imagine such snowboards handling too well

3. to the guy who said my legs may wouldn't be strong enough haha... bitch please...

4. to the guy who said if you can't ski pow on 120/130 skis: I never said I couldn't, but it's just terribly annoying to ski pow with center mounted park skis ;) I can, but it's not as cool as with bindings mounted more behind the center...

whydo you guys always get so personal on people stating their opinion?!

Stoked to see what APO puts out for a Pow ski. Saw some at the Ski show in seattle. Might be picking up a pair to replace the EP's
 
The amount of camber in the current Pettitor model is actually a factory fault that was applied to the whole production of the ski.

The 13/14 Pettitor will have less camber in it.
 
I'm sure if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't have noticed.

It's one of those things that happened, and everything worked out better than expected.
 
@rudager: so how much camber were they meant to have then? is that all that is changing on the petitor as the dimensions aren't? Also @.nyles in your opinion why did they ski like shit? I am honestly interested as in the near future i am looking to build a ski not too different from the petitor and just trying to piece together the best ideas in pow ski design.
 
I can't tell you how much it was supposed to have, but whatever the camber is in the 13/14 model is what it'll have.

My source is a K2 rep, that's all I know
 
this isnt 13/14. its just the 12/13 fatigue zissou jacket (with an extra special logo added for tim) and red anomie pants.
 
Not true bud.

It was tested and developed as such. Throughout the year we have experimented with further versions of the ski's Baseline profile, tweaking the camber and rocker and came up with what we feel is an even better blend for the new ones.
