2011 Tour de France

I'm really pulling for voeckler now, simply because that man has put an unbelievable amount of effort into holding onto the yellow jersey.

Plus i always feel for bad him, the way he gets the lead, holds onto it through stages no one thinks he can do well on...then loses it on one of the last mountain stages.

I would love to see a frenchman win the tour too.

MVD of tour (most valuable domestique). Has been retardedly amazing for voeckler in the mtns and is now a french hero. Im actually in france right now and i am going to see the time trial saturday. to say the least, i am excited
It is still cadels tour to lose because he will beat the schlecks by about 2 mins i predict in the TT, so we will see what happens on alpe d'huez

I think Frank may have a chance overall after Andys effort today, but if Cadel stays with the Schlecks then he will win the GC. Cav deducted 20 points in the green jersey and the possibility of 20 points tomorrow could make the Champs Ellyse (sp) interesting
 
No way Evans beats Schleck by two minutes in the TT. One Minute is pushing it. It has been years since Evans has rode a TT that well.
 
I want to see Andy dominate on the Alp D'Huez stage, haven't sseen the video of today, but it sounds like an amazing ride.
 
2 minutes? Don't think so. And Cadel will never win until he learns to freaking attack someone. All he does is follow the leader.

Tomorrow should be nuts, I just hope Andy has it in him to ride well tomorrow. Although if he didn't...I mean Frank didn't have to do anything today but sit on Cadel's wheel. He could be pretty fresh, just not the kind of attacker Andy is. It's gonna be sick.
 
Awww, that sucks. Cadel Evans was with the leader group and stopped 3 times to fix his bike before they swapped it. To be fair, I don't think he was going to win since he wasn't going to attack Contador or Schleck's group, but that is a tough way to get out of that group. He still has a chance to catch up to them with all this road ahead, but that just sucks.

Wow! He caught them on the descent! All is well again, but again I doubt Cadel is gonna attack anyone on Alp d'Huez.
 
I wouldn't say Cadel is a cunt, but I think a lot of people are getting tired of him riding wheels, never attacking, and refusing to help on the front with the other leaders. I don't know if Andy can hold him off on the time trial so tomorrow should be interesting. I'm pulling for Andy.

Contador was aggressive as hell today, and I can't believe Pierre Roland just earned a plaque on Alp d'Huez. That kid is crazy good this year and he's only a sled dog.
 
I'm happy for Rolland, but it was kind of a lame ride by him. Let's Sammy drag him across the gap, refusing to work, and then attacks. Felt for Contador, not managing to get the stage after everything he did today. I think Andy will hang on tomorrow.
 
Um....when? Recovering 5 minutes when he failed to follow Schleck's pace was survival, not attacking. Following Contador when he attacks is also survival. Sprinting at the line is not attacking. He has the stuff to win this race easily if he had some balls to go.
 
great race.. was pulling for contador. imagine if he had stayed with the pack and left all his legs for the final climb... could have possibly pulled 2 mins on em, back into the race. but i understand he had to go for it all today, i think an attack on peak 1 was a tad bit early.
 
Bummer, already looks like Andy won't hold off Cadel. We'll see though, and both of those guys are monsters who would be new to yellow. Can't be disappointed in this year's tour, I just wanted to see a Schleck win.
 
Congrats to Cadel Evans, that was a hell of a ride to earn yellow.

Guess I keep forgetting Andy was in the white jersey only last year, he'll get the win one day.
 
That's sick, I left France the day before they headed into the mountains :( And my family never took us to stages to watch Lance when we lived in Germany. One day I'll make it there!
 
Fucking Cadel, he doesn't deserve that jersey. He rode Contador's ass the whole time and followed all the big names when they attacked. He rode very smart but almost always rode all the other guys coat tails. Congrats to Garmin-Cervelo for the team win, their team worked really well together for being so new.
 
Great work by Cadel. Australia is going crazy for him he's all over the tv and newspapers, they're even trying to get a public holiday. I really didn't think he had it in him to do so well in the TT but he did amazing. After all his set backs and coming so close in 08/09 it's great for him to be on top.

couldn't be more stoked for the guy, definitely well deserving. As much as I was bummed that Andy couldn't pull it off, he is still young and has lots of years left of competing, while Cadel is at the end of his career. Also, that was one of the most exciting tours I have seen in a while, a great 3 weeks for sure.

Is it July 2012 yet?
 
I wish the public holiday got up. Gillard even accused him of decreasing the countries productivity. It may not have been pretty, but he did everything he needed to do to win and played to his strengths. And that TT was pornography on tarmac. Hopefully it'll put a bit more fire into A. Schleck because that guy is a boss. Very excited for the next 5-10 years of grand tours with that guy in the peleton.
 
It will be interesting to see if Cadel does any good next year... I'm pretty certain Contador or the Schleck sandwhich will win.
 
I personally am amazed at how schleck loses with such class and dignity. it reminds me solely of rory mcilroy and how he lost the masters and British open. now look where he is: on top of the world. I only see great things coming for the schleck bros
 
Gay boys do it again, Frank is always riding on Andy's asshole.

I am really happy for Garmin, and so so about Cadel. I'm not mad but I'm not happy for him. Overall great tour in my opinion. And Cav is the man!
