the sad part is, the most interesting part of the season was months ago. the classics are ten fold interesting than the tour, fabian and gilbert's form were both incredible and
Until andy's second place the other day day in the tour de suisse, he hadn't looked like he'd be challenging for the tour's win. The race is thrown slightly open with andy lacking true form and contador just winning the giro (it's incredibly tough to race, let alone win back to back GT's). Other interesting factors, radioshacks old men and their wins as of late (Horner in california and levi in TdSuisse//kloeden has looked strong in the last couple of months.) Also Van DeBroek has potential to podium, i doubt he'll win.
Evans has been an entertaining racer since he won worlds almost two years ago, he's getting old and this will probably be his last shot- his TT has looked weaker this year.
As far as garmin goes-ryder has a better shot than CVV, he can climb, is younger and hasn't been plagued by bad luck.Basso fell a month or two ago and has looked like shit since, will be lucky to crack top 10.All that being said, cycling is so much about luck- especially in a three week race, recent memory of lance armstrongs 7 straight wins just show how lucky he was, just ask igor anton(2010 vuelta) what luck is really about.
