I have an uncracked bottle sitting in front of me! Long story, but thanks to my cousin who has no idea about it just gave it to me thinking it was nothing.

Anybody have any idea of how much its worth? thanks alot if you do.

i prefer the '87 myself...but still very nice...i hope you enjoy it!

your full of shit

both the 88 and the 87 are likley past their peak, so the longer you wait, the more it will degrade.

wait for new years

niiice thank ya. yeah i found it at $249 .. it's the cuvee. I'm pretty stoked that my cousins a shit head and let me have it. rock on.

WOW! thats really cool man. can i be your friend? hah go kiss their fat asses and they might buy you more skis or a new car.

I wouldnt pay more than 400 for a bottle of wine. After that it just gets silly, its not about the complexity of the wine anymore, its about the winery's ego.

pshh last year we stole bottle of champaign from my friends parents on new years and left the wrappers outside and his parents found them. turns out we took a $500 bottle. and the best part was his parents just laughed at us

ahh newschoolers token whiny rich kid, back at it again. Congrats on perpetuating your lameness. You are THAT guy, the rich kid who dresses ghetto, sags his shit and thinks he is all core. Yet has done nothing to earn anything is life beyond holding out an open palm.

when i first read it i thought you were saying you had opened it, like "I have a cracked bottle of 1988 dom perignon in front of me..." and i was like uhhhhhhh. I was born in '88, so you should give it to me!

ahh newschoolers token lifestyle critic. back at it again. congrats on pointing out everyone else's flaws (or in this case luck) . You are THAT guy that works 12 hour shifts, feeds starving children, and still has time to bash people on newschoolers. You sir, are beat.

Ahh the newschoolers' innocent by standing insulter. All your thrashings are representing of the popular consensus so that no one would get you back without having to deal with a majority of the people in the thread. Labeling is so hot right now.

I know, i know, sounds totally absurd. Good bottles are like works of art, they require the convergence of so many factors that its really a challenge to make a something beautiful. I have had the privilage of drinking some very fine bottles of wine and have gathered sufficent experience to extrapolate the sublties of a quality product. Price isnt always a measure of a bottle's complexity, the trick is to discover wonderful wines that dont cost more than 30 or 40 bucks, thats the skill.

i dont care what the wine tastes like, it will mostly taste like shit. but it will still get you drunk in the end. a box of franzia will make a night out of slap the bag!

Chilean wine is all I buy, but I never turn down good champagne, or bad champage depending on how drunk I am.

You've got a solid bottle there. Save it for a special occasion.

if it was sitting at a 45 degree angle upside down so the cork constantly stayed moist, and it was kept in a cool dark room the entire time, then you could drink it.

If not, its more or less distilled water and you can get very sick from it.

Quoted for truth.

It can even become poisonous. Be careful, and if you don't know what your doing, take it to a wine-o and get a recommendation whether or not you can drink it

Very true. I even saw a guy with a 100 year bottle on tv. He kept it sitting up the entire time, and it would have made him very sick. Part of it also evaporated because the cork was so dry.
