176 vs. 183

Seriously, is there that big of a difference between these sizes?

I'm 5'11", about 160 lbs.

Probably like the length of your finger. I was in this position on gotamas and i went 176 cuz thy are pretty beefy.

I'm thinkin 183 b/c they're meant for big mountain, so the longer size should be a bit more stable.

And isn't the actual running length a little shorter b/c of the tips?

I have some 183 STL's and thats a big step up from my 171 Mad Trix. There is a definent difference. I really like the longer ski, more control, better stability.

I skied 179 for the first time last night, and I was coming from 165's, there was a huge difference, but it only took a few runs to smooth out.
