SHould i get the publics or the 1080s? i think i might do the publics but im not sure anyone have advise??

 
if you've got it narrowed down to those two, go demo them. pe's are a little better suited towards all mountain skiing, and are heavier than the 1080s

i have 1080 they are really felexie like to flexy so get PE i would rather have them

Teneighties are lighter and fatter, ive only demoed them, so i dont know how long pop stays, but the demos had nearly as much as my mo'ships

in my opinion k2 is a better company, pe's are better skis, and pe's are cheaper.

yeah ive got the 1080's and even tho every1 rips the shit outta them cos they're salomon they're still good skis, they're light and good all mountain.

 
look at the specs, the 1080's are wider by about 2 mm tip and tail even though it doesnt look it. and as far as which ski to get, totally depends on preferance. the PE's hold an edge a bit better all mtn because they are a bit stiffer, but yeah the 1080's are lighter and more maneuverable. you really cant go wrong though, both are great skis.

 
PE's- they got looks and they don't feel like elongated snow blades, but whatever you do, DON'T GET THE S 810 BINDING, a word from the wise...

if 1080's were still as awesome as the ones I have (they're either 1999's or 2000's I'm not sure which) I'd say get the 1080s but Salomon has serious quality issues right now, new 1080's are a good ski but some are not very durable due to manufacturing defects in some. I know three people who broke their brand new 1080's the first day they had them and had to send them back on warrantee. Other than that though they are an awesome ski, the PE's are cheaper and heavier than 1080's and in my mind they look sicker...It depends on what you like.

These threads are so fucking worthless. Some kid asks what he should get without providing us any important information such as skiing style, weight, ability, terrain preference, geographical locale. Then in come the hounds, going back and forth, with usually misguided understandings and stupid opinions of construction, skiability, specs. It is so retarded. Why the hell should anyone believe anybody else's opinion when again, they are much too vague. 'Oh, I have the Salomon's they are sick.' 'I have the PEs, and they are super sick.' 'No, my Salomon's are for sure way sick..on eveything too.' 'My PE's are ultra sick on everything.' How does anyone know that you can even ski and that your opinion is worth anything at all? schmies i right go demo them both for your self, i demoed them both and i liked the 1080s more but im not sure how they hold up in the long run but im sure their better than what everyone makes them out to be with the foam core and all.

i hope you got public enemies. I have new 1080s and i demoed the public enemies, and the public enemies are better, but not by much.

i ski 1080's. i am not a soccer mom. anyway, if you can, demo them. like i said earlier, both are good all around skis for lots of different conditions. personally i think the 1080's would work better if you are not as strong of a skier just becuase they are softer, but thats my opinion

 
alright i personaly have nothing against salomon, yet... i just got back from the hill and my 1080s are delaminating again! i just got them repaired, i bought them in the summer used them 6 times, got them fixed, and this happened. i have never skied PE. but i have heard from other people that the 1080s are delamintating lately. i would personally go with a ski that does not have laminating on it.

 
since schimies designed the graphics on the PEs and Maiden AKs something tells me he going to be using K2s.

I feel bad for people who don't drink, cause when they wake up in the morning, thats the best the're going to feel all day
