1 car for $10,000, what would it be?

So my parents are being way chill right now and they wanted to be nice to me because i just got a 3.8 in school (for me thats good) so they said one car in the ten thousand dollar price range when I get my lisence in mid-march, what would you get if you were me? I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of a mountain car.
 
why the hell would you get a civic they are 2 wheel drive if you like to ski and want to get to the moutain on a pow day you need 4 wheel drive but if your worried about gas sub is were its at
 
you rich ass kids, you could get a PIMPIN car for 10 Gs buddy, go look around lots near you or go online to autotrader, or pick up a auto paper at any store near you and look at lots of different ones. dont have kids on newschoolers tell you what kind of car to get...and dont ask in the SG
 
Dammit. I have a car (2001 nissan altima) that I share with my brother, whos 16. But I'm taking courses and living at a nearby college (2 hours away) during my senior highschool. So they gave the car to my brother, because I can walk to class, but he has to drive.

So basically I no longer have a car, and even though they have plenty of money to buy one another so we both have one, they dont. I tried to get them to buy me a car with the money I saved them by getting a scholarship.

I suggest an audi, saab, subaru with a good set of snow tires, get some bridgestone blizzaks for the winter, they OWN

laugh at my ride if you want but Ive got a 96 oldsmobile wagon with blizzaks and that thing can haul more ppl and gear than any of my friends whips and Ive never been stuck or gone off the rode... snowy roads and 70 mph... feels safe believe it or not

suby. its really the only call. that or audi... but if you get an audi in the 10k range youll be paying another 10k in service and repairs before youre out of college
 
3000gt vr4... twin turbo awd...and yea u can find one for under 10000. but its more of a street racing car... try to get a subu, durango, or a 4runner...i think those do the best in the snow.
 
Get a truck with a big cab and a long bed. It will be the best thing you ever buy. Not too good on gas but everything else is sick about trucks. I have done sports cars economy cars and SUVs and the truck is the way to go.
 
Get a piece of shit looking Toyota truck that runs like a dream and Dub that shit out by raising it and getting roll cage and all that shit. drive it thru a lot of mud so you dont have to give a shit about paint cuz its muddy, which is fuckin tight. Trust me. Its tight.

Toyotas: They never die, and they will sure as hell drive through any kind of terrain.
 
Holy shit, 10 grand? I got around 3 grand plus 2 of that is just ahead payments meaning I had to pay it back.
 
you also wouldnt need a ski rack on top of your car. aaaaand you can bring more people to the slopes with you
 
get a pick up. I just got one... so much fun. Tons of room for people and shit and off roading in it is also tons of fun. Easy to drive too
 
are you kidding? the highest you can get is a 4.0 not above and i think i got 3.3 overall my dad paid 2,000 for my car then i had to pay it back.

just get a subaru its the best car all round, i personally would like to get the audi but expensive repairs which sucks

i got my subaru for 10 grand and its a 99. you could prolly get like a super sick RS 2002 for 10. i dont know about WRX
 
kia's or huyndai's...mad cheap brand new. you can definately get some for under/around 10 grand. buy that shit up. good mpg too. last forever.
 
get a '96 volvo wagon. Tons of rooms i nthe back for skis, kayaks, or snything really, back seet folds down so you can put a blow up mattress in there and sleep in your car, if you get the turbo it can move, even the normal version has around 200HP. Also it will last to 400,000KM or more with minimal repairs. You could prob pick one up for around 5Gs and then put another 5Gs into it and it will last 10 years.
