'09 '10 LINE Afterbangs!!!!!!

I skate and ski i have broken two pairs of skis and countless skateboards

The technology does look good on these skis so i highly doubt they are as durable

as a normal skateboard they are deff much stronger

http://bataleon.com/en/tbti dont really know much about the afterbangs but about the edges being raised you can learn some stuff off of bataleon snowboards who invented triple base technology(raising edges) and have patented it(alot of companies have copied it). i hope that helps with explaining the edge raise thing

skateboards break cause they have no flex, if skis had no flex they would break like crazy. flexing takes away soooooo much impact.

Also, skateboards break much easier because all the impact force from landing is being applied through the trucks to the small area where they're screwed on, whereas on skis, the force is applied to a much bigger landing surface. C'mon, they've tested and tinkered with this ski for 4 years, there's proven science behind it's durability claim.

exactly. although the afterbangs are built like a skateboard, they will not BE a skateboard. they are still skis. they flex. skateboards dont, which is why they snap. i think these skis will turn out to be awesome

^I also conquer, as no sane human being skis a skateboard, or skateboards skis. While being united to their similar ties in construction, they're not the same thing.

/multi-post rant.

i dig the name, if you remove the meaning (what it means in the ski world) from the word its actually a pretty sweet wold. words without meaning are way cool. afterbangs are now available in NZ! - www.basenz.com

thats quite a small picture...

and regardless of the physics, I highly doubt Line would release a ski that breaks as easily as a skateboard after claiming that they've tested it for years and its bombproof...

At first I didnt want these skis cuz i didnt like the graphic very much, but now I want em bad, the construction seems so sick.

theyre so sick. super stable and torsionally stiff, but really soft in the tips and tails. you can nosepress down the mountain just by leaning over your toes. they come in 155, 166 and 177 and they ski pretty short because theyre symmetric. probably the best jib ski ever. plus the graphics are like the old santa cruz skateboard graphics in the 80s

Rode them last year and they were super fun, super buttery and playful...only thing i worried about was if you hit a jump and are too far forward or backward i feel like they would come out from under you becasue of how soft they are...Tyler Barnes rode them pretty much the whole season and had no problems on PC's jumps though.

im getting some ;)
they are a tad stiffer than the invaders and ski almost the same but a fair bit more stable on jumps
they are the dopest skis i have ever seen

the ski did not break like that. the tip did break but that picture is after it broke they RIPPED IT APART it did not break like that.

There has been a lot of rail talk, but hows their jump game? I read earlier that someone thinks they have slow bases, but I'm assuming they're dumb and the skis needed to be waxed.

Also please post the cheapest you can find the Afterbangs for.

heres the deal: skateboards break easily but that is becuase they have no flex. also you arent jumping down onto these like you would a skateboard. they are durable and they are stiffer than the invader but the new butter zone works a lot better (i asked max hill). im gettin a pair and they should be dope. my parks is rails only so these are gonna be my meat and potatoes. 115-88-115 are the dimensions and they come in the sizes 155, 166, and 177. they have fatty base and edge and they also have carbon olliband and butterzones and the bases come in either blue, white, or green for all sizes. if you are light like me and you do a lot of rails and even some bigger jumps, get these. the only things these skis might not kill on are halfpipes or park shoot jumps but then again, Max Hill weighs a lot more than me and he did i think a 90 foot zero spin on these in outdoor graduation....
