'09 '10 LINE Afterbangs!!!!!!

i skied on them. they were nothing special, especially with all the hype surrounding the new construction.
so yes, i am a fucking idiot.

177, 166, 155

115-87-115

get to demo the 177 for the weekend.

stoked to see how they do.

shit could get mad real, real quick..

ya heard..

word.

and you dont put pressure on both tip and tail at once like you do when you skate also you dont put pressure in the middle when that is not the centtral part of gravity ie: the trucks and middle of the deck to bindings and boot right in the middle of the ski.

word ive snapped boards off of 5-6 foot drops. whats gonna happen when i drop from like 20 feet in the air on these

i didnt know thats hwo they were doing the construction...

not gonna lie, thats pretty sick.. horozontal lamination.. hmm.. i wonder if it will work out really well...

the surface area the pressure is distributed over is greater because the butter zone is so close to the boot, you can kind of press the whole tip or tail into landings. vertical layer skis are going to snap before these will, teh butter zones dont create nearly as big of a surface area to spread out the pressure when landing.

Guessing that it's new tech, a good estimate would be that they'll be of equal or slightly more value than that of the Anthem's price.

how are they on jumps?????
look sick like the ideas but a flexy ass ski like the invader is not good at all on jumps
i will prolly get some if they have good jump performance ( those who have the chance to demo)

It is built like a skateboard, but its not a skateboard. Why do people think it will break like one? as a ski it is put under completely different pressure than a skateboard.

on skis everything is on the same plane besides tips which hold no pressure.
on a skateboard all wieght is held by the trucks with open space in middle that is unsupported causeing them to break.
nice try but though disgned like a skateboard not held up by trucks IT IS A SKI

people who think it will break like a skateboard dont understand basic physics.
a skateboard has contact point with ground, and has much more innertia(sp?) than a ski...as most of the ski is always on the ground...

where does a deck break?? usuallly in the middle, or tail, sometimes tip.
it only breaks in that area because of the direct pressure from the foot that is being applied at that area. this is completly different.
stoked to see how this ski works out.

people who are saying they are gonna snap just shut the fuck up

they wouldnt release them if they would snap easily.. thyve been apparently testing these for 3-4 years bitch

The one thing I dont get is if the base is concave, The edges will probably also be pointed slightly downward. Wouldnt that make the edges dig in?

I just made a thread on this. But I talked to my the head person at my local ski shop, he's getting a shipment of the afterbangs in 2 weeks.
LINE AFTERBANG'S ARE GONNA BE $350. It was in the little price chart he had for 09/10 gear.

Really? Wow, I was close..I thoght they'd be slighty more expensive than Anthems. that does make sense, as it's made with less material than an average ski..

i must say thought i dont like the graphic and wuts a face blowing up have to do with afterbanging, the skis should be called the line facebangers

the more stuff i look at about these skis the more interested i get. but i just got brand new anthems so no chance of afterbangs for a good few years for me

They are so sick! I've always been wondering what ski it was when I saw them in TC.Can't wait to try them out!
