07/08 Ski Picture Thread

Its not a shop. Its "Swesportmässa" in sweden. Its like a happening where they show off their skis. It is where they first are officially released, according to www.freeride.nu

K2s are from left to right: Missy, Juvy, Bad Seed kid's fat ski, Fujative (right ski only), MissConduct, Silencer, MissDemeanor, PE-169cm, Nancy (right ski only), Seth (right ski only), and finaly the Hellbent (left ski only).

i wonder if this will sell...because if you think about it i dont see many kids using fat skis, but if it does well it could be a nice market

Wtf is the difference between the blue SPK and the other top 3 SPK's? just graphics, or are they constructed differently?

I know they have different graphics. I don't care. It doesn't matter that the leather cowboy ones are a pro model. Yes, they are different, but is the CONSTRUCTION or flex, or anything besides the way they look different?

i think the fujatives are 3rd from the left. the ones next to the seths have a to round of a tip to be fujatives

my guess is that they have a couple different flex's and two different shapes probably a womans and a mens shape, and then different flex's like an 85 and a 90 becuase some one wanted it stiffer. but don't take my word on it they might just all be the same.

and i take it in this case, promodel means they cost 100 more and they'll be almost impossible to find.

Hey, those Fischer Dukes were in that video that was leaked from the Fischer factory a few weeks ago...

And K2 shit all over their graphics, save the Coomba. Hellbents would be fun skis tho. This years most savory graphics are still the Heads...

No. Its a new marker freeride binding of which I have forgot the name. It has some special feature for riding switch better or something but I am too lazy to look it up. Long story short, its not an AT binding. (Although the marker Duke is an AT binding and the toepiece looks similar)

no, they had the product meeting here about 2 months ago, and my 2 inside sources said the 08-09 prototype was like the material of an ugg boot somewhat. and thats what it kinda looked like to me? and they are making a womens version of the spk.

I have seen that ski.... It is called the Hell Bent.. And that exact set is bigger than the regular pairs. I believe he said it was 121 under foot.

The duke is the AT version. And the will also sell a set that will mount flat. It is very similar to the reactor. I believe the real reason that K2 bought Line was for the bindings, not the skis.

the binding on the new volkl is not a touring binding. this guy would never do a big air comp with touring bindings... dudes, come on

Ok....Look to everybody saying that the Duke is a touring binding. IT IS NOT A TOURING BINDING. It is a lighter, stronger version of the line Reactor binding. This could be the new standard for which all bindings will be based off of boys and girls.

Matman, explain to me how that binding can be taken off a pair of skis and remounted on another without drilling holes. And explain to me why no Volkls or K2s have pre-drilled holes in them? Also, explain to my why underneath the toepiece of that binding you see another metal piece with a pivot on the front? Clue in, It's an AT Binding!

Notice that the toepiece on the Volkl Wall is white and not black? Its not the same binding, as much as the toepiece looks similar. As I said before, Marker has two new bindings for next year; the Duke, which is an AT binding, and that white one (forgot the name) which is a park/freeride binding.
