for the type of riding they are made for they are good skis, but you have to admit that over longer periods of time, as in 1 to 1 &1/2 seasons the wood core will out last the foam, thats about the length of time it takes me to wear out a pair of skis to the point where they need to be replaced. and i dont know about you but i would rather have the wood cuz the last couple months on the skis will be way different if your riding on totall noodels cuz the foam has broken down. i also never said that salomon skis had bad construction, its rare that i see a salomon ski in bad shape cosmetically or otherwise. salomon makes good skis, i just wouldnt ride them unless they were a lot cheaper, that was my original point.
