they're the same build and everything just the graphics are a little different, i have the las vegas, nevada promo video, but yeah there almost exactly the same sizes and stuff, why change a good thing?

Yeah, salomon's construction is so extra-progressive they don't need to ever change their skis...they can just put a little stencil on the front and call them new. Maybe if they'd fix their defective construction techniques I would have some respect for the company but the PRs are for fat old men who can't ski powder.

i want to know how salomon can justify charging so much for their skis when you know that in the back of their heads they know that their foam core stuff is inferior to wood cored skis.

How does foam ride differently in powder? honestly you cant say its because the skis are lighter.

well. you get the jist of what im saying though. its almost like salomon wants peoples skis to die faster so that they will have to come back and buy more. if thats true, its kinda a good business strategy but sort of underhanded if you ask me.

OK....first off wood core skiis are definitely sweet, second off the foam core in salomons is not as bad as everyone says. People need to realise that wood core skiis degrade aswell. If you're any kind of skier whatsoever your edges will not last near as long as the 'foam' core and they are made of metal for fu#k sakes. You don't buy skiis to keep them in prime shape and baby them. I've seen 3 pairs of Armadas literally explode after being rode only 2-3 times and i've seen salomons delam aswell...my point is if you want a ski to last for a long time don't hit rails/jumps and go buy a pair carving skiis and stop bitching. Admit it, newschool skiing is hard on gear, if you don't like it you don't have to do it.....get PR's they are sweet

for the type of riding they are made for they are good skis, but you have to admit that over longer periods of time, as in 1 to 1 &1/2 seasons the wood core will out last the foam, thats about the length of time it takes me to wear out a pair of skis to the point where they need to be replaced. and i dont know about you but i would rather have the wood cuz the last couple months on the skis will be way different if your riding on totall noodels cuz the foam has broken down. i also never said that salomon skis had bad construction, its rare that i see a salomon ski in bad shape cosmetically or otherwise. salomon makes good skis, i just wouldnt ride them unless they were a lot cheaper, that was my original point.

Stop buying toy skis my friends, change to wood.
Another thing about wood core is that it makes the ski stiffer and stiffer is faster, in pow and hardpack. This if you want to go faster, higher and more aggressive obviously. (PRs are a bit more forgiving, for the softer skier).
Same sizes of PR in wood core and twins are the Rossi Scratch BC, 4frnt 180 (not sure), Head Mad Trix Mojo, and best of all the brand new 2005 Volkl Karma.
