Back to skiing after ACL surgery

Yeah well i had to wait to do my surgery cuz I wasn't done growing. They had to wait until my growth plates were closed to do my surgery otherwise one of my legs would have ended up longer than the other. so thats why i had to ski with the brace my whole season. and it did help a lot. I know...

    Alright, what park ski?

I would say prolly go for the ar6's. I have always heard good things about them. If you hit mostly jumps though def check out the pipecleaners. The race base is very nice! I skied them all last year and they are so sick on jumps. Pop and carve nice and really stable on landings. you can hit...

Back to skiing after ACL surgery

yeah it does wonders! I completely tore my acl, tore my mcl, and my meniscus back on my first day out of the season. I came back a month later and skied without an acl and meniscus tear for the rest of the season. The cti brace helped so fricken much, but it still hurt like hell to wipe out cuz...

    Torn meniscus

I completely tore my acl, tore my mcl, and my meniscus. Unfortuately I tore my meniscus in a place in my knee where it won't heal on its own. So they just cleaned it out when I had surgery. If your doctor told you you tore it in a place where it might grow back thats really good news, but if it...

    Rehab after ACL reconstruction

yeah dude the pain is normal. It will get progressively better throughout the re-hab. Your only a few days out so don't be too worried. It's gonna take awhile. I'm about 6 weeks out from my surgery and I'm doing great. I had a completely torn acl, a torn mcl, and torn meniscus that they couldn't...

yes for sure Kristi Leskinen And Sarah Burke

    Pipe Cleaner or THall

I would say for 70% jumps and 30% rails the pipecleaners are what your looking for. I have the pipecleaners and they are sick on everything. You can hit rails with them. The race bases are a little bit softer than the t-hall's which just increases your chances of getting bigger gouges, but mine...

    What earphones?

no they don't. Sure's cheapest earbuds are $100. I have the $150 pair and i think they sound great too, but the only thing i don't like about them is that they have barely any bass compared to other earbuds i've tried

    Dumonts or Addict pros?

I'm stuck between these two skis. I want to know if the dumonts are a really durable ski and if they are about as stiff as the addict pros. Any input on how these skis ride is always helpfu too, thanks.

    Ski size (Anthems)

Yeah the 178's will be perfect. They are light and flexy so don't worry about them being too long
  14. agame4life

Will 09 ski prices come down?

prices will go down about mid-season. Right around after christmas into Janueary
  15. agame4life

    Anthems, Should I get em?

yeah get them for sure. they're a softer park ski if you're looking for that, but for 70% park and 30% all mountain/pow they'll be perfect

    Stl durability?? addict durability?

yeah definently go with the addicts. One of the most ,if not the most durable park ski you can get. They have a double layer titanial insert under foot to give rails a beating. The topsheet chipping will occur as with almost any ski, but your edges and bases will stay prime.

    Help me pick a ski

yeah go for the kung fujas. the anthems are gonna feel like noodles after you've been skiing on the JO pros. The anthems also don't come long enough for you. I think 178's are too short for you. The kung fujas come in 179's and 189's which might be a little long if you do a lot of park

    Spinning and center mount.

Center mount them for sure. You can spin more easily and land and ski switch more easily. It does make it harder to ski all mountain, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Also, if you have a truning ski already it shouldn't be a problem center mounting them.

    STLs or Addicts?

I guess it depends how big you are. If you're a pretty big guy then i would get the addicts. They are stiffer and one of the most durable skis out there with their double layer of metal under foot. The stl's are definently a softer ski and are going to be more playful around the mountain. If you...

What size ski does dumont ride?

I'm 5' 6'' and 125 lbs and I rode 176's last year. I had them center mounted and they were a little too long for me. They will give you great stability on huge jumps, but if you really like dancin on rails then stick with the 171. Yeah the longer ski looks steezy, but I'm switching to a 171 next...
