How is Big Sky & Bridger Bowl?

They both kick ass and I've been there in Dec. when it's dumping...I think that Jan-March are better but you should be okay... I prefer Bridger, it's smaller, less popular and a lot steeper in the right places...Big sky is HUGE and has a lot to offer but I like low key, core places and Bridger...

Why does Tacoma smell so bad?

The Pulp mills are producing paper and wood stuff that release something wicked into the air...If your new to t-town, have faith, it won't stink this winter when the rain comes..it only seems to smell when the air is stagnant..

    stiff twins for all around

The Public Enemy is a great all mountain ski. It's just wide enough to float in slush and powder and it's got a good enough sidecut to handle the hardpack. They are fairly stiff and are built with thick edges to handle rail impacts better...I think they rule...

    Where to go now?

One way to go bigger is to get a false sence of security. It's always good to think you can go big and land it even if you can't. Get some knee braces, hip and spine padding, and go drink a beer or two before you go huck. Also trying stuff into soft snow never hurts... Good luck.

    New Boards...Any Ideas

I've torn both my ACL's and would recomend you stay with a longer-stiffer ski. I tried some motherships, and though I liked them, they were so short for me(a 6 ft. guy) that they really tweaked my IT bands(the tendon on the outside of your leg you didn't tear). You'll need a stable platform...

    north face

If you want a softgood to be waterproof it's got to be a gore-tex or sympatex product. The other waterproofing is just coated on the exterior of the garments. Gore-tex is glued inside the nylon you see, this allows it to see less abraison and thus does not wear off. Their nupse down jackets...

    rail making

Stainless is more expensive and is harder to shape than regular steel, but it does not rust and will not dent. Stainless dulls real fast but it's a neat metal. Some ski companies are starting to use it on park specific prototypes because it does not crack and does not burr as much.

    rail material

You can bend steel but you either need a shit ton of direct heat on the steel or you need giant metal shop tools like you see on Discovery's American Chopper show...
