$40 is a pretty standard full-price for a remount and release check. oftentimes you'll get a deal when you buy new stuff from the shop, but yeah. $40 seems like alot. did you get new boots and switch sizes or something? usually a remount isn't necessary unless you change boot sizes.´ $40...

the more forward you mount a powder ski, the more the tips will dive in the deep stuff. i mounted an explosiv almost center and i really wish i hadn't. it killed the pow performance. it was sweet switch, though. how much time do you plan to ski switch in powder?

for the park, take them off. it'll be easier to slide rails and funboxes and stuff like that. better at take-off, too. landing will be more solid. for out of park, a lift can be super nice - more edge power!
