How good was the snow this year

what are you talking about??? it pretty much snowed non stop in Switzerland for the past 2 months. today it even snowed down in the cities... you don't need to go to a glacier to ski now. theres friggin heaps of snow everywhere and most resorts close either the 27th or the 4th.

Stop saying you can't have no poles in the back country

99% of this site doesnt have baskets wide enough on their poles to properly plant in deep powder. its all in your head.

    Summer skiing in Europe?

"august" Sometimes Les 2 Alpes is already closed in August. If not, crash at sick & the mental. "if 2 ppl can ride with one lift ticket" No. You need the ticket to get up to the glacier. "is poaching an option." If you are willing to hike for hours? so no.. "jumping over barriers" what...

    How was everyones season ?

ummm still 2 months to go and it's still snowing... I've been riding deep powder from november till now, all over the place: Switzerland, Austria, Utah,Colorado... so I can't complain. Looking forward to 2 months of park skiing, but it looks like we're getting another big storm coming in.

Mt. Hood, Chile, Argentina, or New Zealand for the summer?

at these altitutudes summer does not apply, its an arctic climate. Zermatt hat 3000 feet vertical in the summer. The verticals in NZ resorts are pathetic (no offense).

Mt. Hood, Chile, Argentina, or New Zealand for the summer?

I've lived in Wanaka one season. I love the country and the people, it's one of my favorite. But you have to stand in line for AGES to drop the pipe. The park is immaculate, but there's just too many people going there. This is not the case in Saas-Fee and Zermatt + it's real snow in...

    Rodeos 4 All

^^ yes. When I try a rodeo as soon as I spot my landing I stall and faceplant. It's like as soon as I see where I'm gonna land my face is magnetically pulled towards that landing.

    Skiing rules my Life

I moved countries for skiing, it changed my life in such a positive way. I still get so super stoked every day. In the meantime I took a lot of trips overseas, New Zealand, Argentina, Colorado, Utah........ a lot of expenses but fuck, thats what work is for. I wouldn't say that skiing rules my...

Where is the snow in switzerland?

The snow has been crap in the south. My friend is in Saas-Fee right now and it's terrible, no new snow in weeks, while in the north we just got some EPIC powder days. I think the easiest from Saas-Fee would be to go to Andermatt.

    COC VS windells

I'm gonna have to say neither and either go with South America Snow Sessions to Argentina if you wanna shred pow or go with Demonium to the Swiss glaciers to ride park.

Awsome new site to rate terrain parks

the site looks too trashy and disorganized... take a cue from sites like Wikipedia and Facebook, to make it more organized. Also the idea that people can add parks unlimitedly kind of sucks. There are only so many parks so they should each be put it once and then fixed. also, there is...

Whats harder....true backcountry skiing or park skiing.

this is a bullshit argument as both can be made as difficult as you want it to be..

second week of march is excellent timing usually... Park: Laax is the only one up to standards with Breck and PC... Portes du Soleil has cool parks Powder: Mürren, Engelberg, Andermatt, Portes du Soleil.. just go to Zermatt because it's so huge and tall. you will probably have to travel...
