One of the heroes of my life, the way he was always positive. He made the most of his life and his attitude towards it was some of the best I have ever seen. A part of skiing has died today, one we will never forget. Ski in peace, we loved you.

I can't believe it. Shane you will be sorely missed by all. I like many others watched in awe as you transformed what we all knew into what we all love. My heart goes out to your wife and daughter. To a great man may your name live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who call themselves skiers.
