such a lengend. you will never be forgotten. nothing but good vibes to your wife and daughter. there is nothing harder to deal with in this world, just know that shane influenced more than 75 percent of all skiers in this world. he was truly the most innovative skier in the backcountry that anyone could follow. rip shane, you did real good.

one of the first real icons of our sport to leave...

i liked his base jump segments, although they got kinda old, but still. and his ego-cam seggie (i guess in yearbook) was tha bomb. i never enjoyed big mountain skiing that much until dana flahrs ego cam seggie.

RIP shane, you dont know me, but everyone knew you and what you done for the sport in ski development, the whole ski base jump thing and a bunch of other stuff...
