    99 Days of Women's Skiing

Hey all! I'm working on a project called 99 Days of Women's Skiing & Snowboarding to help create a platform to highlight women's snow sports (I was inspired by 99 Days of Women's Ultimate:https://www.facebook.com/99daysofultimatewomen/) . Every week a different person would take over and share...

East Coast Girls: Read up if you want to help make a sick event possible!

The whole thing sounds awesome. It would be cool if you could have different sized jump lines, so there could be some bigger jumps. Thanks for all the work!! Hope it happens

StartFragmentIf youwalk on your heals for a while you develop your shin muscles. Alsoyou can buy this stuff called Arnica Gel, which is just a homeopathic gel thathelps with pain. Other than that ice your shins after skiing.EndFragment

    What the hell.. lincolns??

Try setting the flip a little forward. If you on your heals or setting the flip a little back, it spins right at the end.

    Follow up on olympics thread

I'm sure the rules and scoring would be similar to USSA halfpipe. Here is a link to the USSA rules. Halfpipe is on page 106: http://www.ussa.org/PublishingFolder/assets/Files/fsdocscompguidechap5.pdf

Prepping the knees for the season

Yeah for a lot of people their Quads are way stronger than their Hammys and that imbalance puts a lot of pressure on the knee. Also it takes half as long for the ACL to tear than it does for the message to go from your knee to your brain and back telling your hamstrings to pull and protect. So I...

    Backflips vs corks?

Well Backflips are great for learning how to use the curve of the jump. Corks have the same set as a 7 but use the curve of the jump the same as a backflip. That make sense?

    How hard is a backflip

Have fun breaking your neck and never moving your legs again. Honestly NS what is wrong with you guys. Slinging (Throwing your weight back) backflips is a great way to kill yourself. Backflips are really easy if they are done right. All you have to do is match the curve of the jump, press your...

    Concussions

How bad are they really? Has anyone heard about Ted Johnson? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2760469 A New York Times story earlier this year quoted a noted forensic pathologist who studied Waters' brain tissue and determined that it resembled that of an 85-year-old man with...

    If Ullr Was A Girl

Ok so that If Ullr Was a Girl contest right now is a major joke!!!! I mean look at the girls who are winning!!! I think we, as a community of skiers, need to go there and turn the votes around. Let’s vote for Lynsey Dyer who is not only a kick ass skier, but is going to give the money to a...

    A little worried

See this thread makes me sad. I know you guys all hate mogul and actually learning stuff not just hucking, but really you should "know" how to do a trick before you try it. By "knowing" I mean understanding how the trick works, not just being able to land it. For a 7 you go into the jump just...
