You crack a flanged edge, and you're fucked, because you cant just cut that edge and have a gap, that.. though sucky, wont ruin the rest of the ski. with a flanged edge, you pretty much have a massive edge that just rips out of the ski and compleeetely messes it up if you crack it deep enough.<br>

But eh... either way... if youre hitting rails, youre going to break an edge, so stop bitching people.
