Gotta side with p-fo on dis one. Technically, the olympics is a collection of AMATEUR athletes and has been since it fuckin started in greece. So yeah obviously doesn't make for great television and it sure as hell isnt entertaining. Shit performance yes. Hilarious? absolutely. Mockery? nah man. Go watch olympic womens slope again and reconsider. More than half of the finalists fell on BOTH runs. and These are women who spend 100+ days 'training' with national funding .... pretty fucking embarrassing if you ask me . Take in that Dara Howell who fucking won gold in 2014 took 2 YEARS off of skiing and then failed to even qualify even though she's considered a 'pro skier'. Progression in women's skiing is considerably slower than men's and its easy to sit back and roast this Hungarian broad, but if you were from some obscure country and had the opportunity, would you not take it?
side note - there should be some form of pre-qualifier for this shit because the olympics hasn't been purely amateur since goddamn 1920 lol. Same thing on the mens side though, China took some of their gymnasts from sochi and put them on snow and they gorbed it out in pipe qualis. in 2018.
