That's the one big theory I dont agree with 4frnt on...
You crack a flanged edge, and you're fucked, because you cant just cut that edge and have a gap, that.. though sucky, wont ruin the rest of the ski. with a flanged edge, you pretty much have a massive edge that just rips out of the ski and compleeetely messes it up if you crack it deep enough.
But eh... either way... if youre hitting rails, youre going to break an edge, so stop bitching people.
