Their both amazing in their own right. Zootspace is amazing in a grungy, edgy way. With a great sound track and spot selection, and skiers you don’t see clips of often.

ITFMS is probably the best ski movie cinematically that had released in the past 5 years. Only thing that might Rival that imo is Love You Too
 
You act like ITTFMS isn’t appreciated too lol. The only generational film I see get minimal praise on here is most gutter
 
just watched love you too and I think it has better urban skiing but nothing beats how the beautiful ITFMS cinematography was.

Havent watched in like a year but if I remember correctly I thought the skiing in ITTFMS was absolutely insane and the cinematography was sick but it felt like there was more b-roll than skiing. Obviously both are insane and I love them both but zootspace just kept my eyes glued to the screen and ITTFMS felt like if I left my computer to take a shit mid film I wouldn't miss any skiing.

Yep. My response was sorta joking but based on truth. ITTFMS sure was beautiful and well shot, but had pretty standard ski movie type sound track. Zootspace had songs that I have always loved but never thought would go well with skiing and they pulled it off perfectly.
 
Remember being overly stoked on zootspace, but when i watched it i felt like it was a drunken uninspiring project.

Two completely different movies. Completely different skiers. Zootspace went skate video route. All street. Fish eyes. Insane clips. Riders who don’t have or post clips on IG. Core shit. Riding Jet skis. Matching socks went the cinematic route and did very well in that regard as well. Magnus and the bunch and a bunch of amazing backcountry spots and street clips. Just two different entities. Zootspace is a closer representation of the best urban ski clips of this generation of skiers over a collection of a few years. While matching socks imo was just another annual film done by aalric and the bunch guys. Still amazing skiing, but not the blood sweat and tears you see put into zootspace

Zootspace was imo the best ski video to come out in the last ~5 years. Been skiing since like 2008 so have seen a handful of eras by this point. The BUNCH/magnus era was dope, but feel like Zoot resonates more with the US because most of us have that angst. European countries with free healthcare/school/etc aren't going to have the same aesthetic because the culture is radically different. Look at Forrmula for example. Arguably (might even be objectively...) a better movie than Zootspace, but not one person on here has even mentioned it yet
 
Different aesthetics can be debated forever because its subjective and depends on how you like to ski. ITTFMS is the greatest ski movie out there to me not just for the content but because they put out a full climate report with it, balanced all their emissions 200%, and made conscious choices to lessen their environmental impact. They're the crew that has arguably influenced freeskiing the most in the past 10 years and its sick to see them hold themselves accountable.

I think a big part of freeskiing is also showing that you don't give a fuck by breaking tables and skiing urban and partying or whatever. Its a counterculture rebellious sport and skiing needs that bit of edge. Hoodcrew, ccrew, 4bi9, zoot, child labor, etc all carry that torch and drive ski culture. Against the backdrop of climate change and how itll affect our sport, its awesome to see a ski crew own that aspect and be the change they want to see in the world. Its refreshing to see them just put out data and their actions rather than make climate change the theme of the movie like tgr, msp, sierra quitiquit whatever.
