First off I understand there are multiple threads on this topic however there is too much nonsense going on and this thread is much more specific now that we know the verdict.

The media absolutely sickens me.

Where on earth is this racism bullshit coming from? There are ZERO indications that Zimmerman has been racist in his past. His entire life has been searched, his closest friends interrogated, his attorneys even vouched for him "if anything the opposite of racism". Yet the racism cards continue...

During Zimmerman's 911 call he said "these assholes always get away".. Racial slur? my ass, It shows Zimmerman cares about his community and didn't want a burglar or thief to get away. As far as profiling someone, sure appearance plays a part but demeanor is everything. Why would Trayvon run from Zimmerman if he did nothing wrong?

As if that's not enough, the media (CNN) claims that if the roles were reversed and a Black man pursued, shot and killed a white man he'd be going to prison. snitch please. It's all about the circumstance. The FACTS. Doesn't matter if you're black or white, you're allowed to protect your community and you're allowed to protect yourself if need be.

Look Trayvon didn't have to die, but the events took place and that's how it turned out. In the end it's justified.

The problem I have is how the media took over, and turned it into a race issue. When it never was and doesn't need to be. And the fact that Obama had to get his word in on this?? absolutely ridiculous don't you have better shit to do?

I agree, the media turns everything the wrong way.

Recently there was a guy (white, mid 30s) who was filling up his car at a gas station and a group of black teenagers who wanted to start a fight with him but he tried to get away. He either fell or something but they caught up beat him nearly to death then left him in the middle of a road and was hit by a car and killed. The media didn't even really address it if at all.
 
breaking news on CNN jurors speak and they say that race did not play a part in their decision. They don't believe Zimmerman targeted Trayvon based on race. boom
 
If zimmerman was black this trial would have never gone to trial. I am so glad he was found innocent. Fuck all the black race baiters in this country. They all need to fucking die
 
He's still an asshole for shooting an unarmed 14 year old, aggressor or not. Unfortunately, being an asshole isn't illegal
 
This kid just told you that you were going to die and then proceeds to smash your face into the ground. Do you a. Continue to let him do this until you possibly die or b. defend yourself by the only way possible at the current time.
 
Watching on the news right now. A large group of black people are trying to break into a Wal-Mart in Southern California. They are throwing shopping carts at the front doors. Fuck people.

LIL BABY TRAY TRAY DI'N DO NUFFIN.

I've been following the trial very closely so let me sum up how things went down:

The 3 year old Trayvon martin donned his school uniform, consisting of a formal suit and sailors cap and took his lollipop and straight, luxurious aryan hajir outside in the hopes of purchasing for himself (with the money he earned through his hard work at his intellectually stimulating financial well-to-do job down the street) some skittles, a sugary beverage, and the medicine his sickly grandmother needed in order to survive.

Little Trayvon made his way to the store and purchased what he, and his grandmother so desperately, needed. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping and there was a double rainbow in the sky.

As Trayvon was walking home, dark clouds gathered over him, and the sky turned black as night. A white man with blonde hair and blue eyes in full Klan regalia and crooked teeth came out from behind the space between houses as Trayvon passed.

"Hello, sir!", our hero exclaimed in the friendliest of manners.

"Yew dun belong hyurr darkie what race traitor let yew outta yer cage," the klansman said, throwing up a bit in his mouth, clearly sick with racism and the conservativism that is so clearly ruining this great nation.

The man tied an American flag around his neck like a cape and advanced on Trayvon. The little light-skinned boy dropped his lollipop and skittles in tears and began to run from the menacing judeo-fascist, crying out for help as he passed each door.

The klansman soon caught up.

"YEW BETTER QUIT STRUGGLIN OR I'MMA KILL YEW," the man screamed at little Trayvon as he grabbed the back of Trayvon's immaculate suit and threw him to the ground on the wet grass and began violently shaking him and hitting him all over his body.

Lightning struck in the background.

"THIS IS A JUDEO-CHRISTIAN NATION AND WE DON'T LIKE YER KIND ROUND HERE DARKIE NOW QUIT STRUGGLIN'," the man proclaimed as Trayvon lay prone and motionless on the ground. The man drew a gun.

"N-No... please!" Trayvon squealed as the man slowly drew his Klan mask off his lumpy, misshapen head. Rain poured down and Trayvon could see Satan in Zimmerman's eyes.

"Planet of the apes ain't *never* gon' happen on my watch, you little chimp. I'm white, I can dew anythin' i want," Zimmerman whispered. Trayvon was frozen, pleading over and over to spare his life. Zimmerman pulled the trigger, ending the good, honorable Trayvon right there on the cold grass, clearly possessed by Satan and consumed by racism and his own intolerable conservatism.

He then proceeded to beat the shit out of himself, breaking his nose and smashing his own head against the pavement in a violent fit of demonic celebration over his corruption and destruction of an innocent life.

yea, he's still an asshole for bringing a gun to a fist fight, but the racism thing is so overplayed. Nowadays the whole prejudice thing has been taken to such extreme that if you're not racist, you're racist.

If it was dark and rainy, how did Zimmerman even know Martin was black? He just saw a kid in a baggy hoodie

My honest opinion is the prosecution really fucked themselves over. Second degree myrder was too high of a charge. If they would've presented manslaughter as a more forward option and not just throwing it in at the last second the jury may have found George guilty. I agree that he is not guilty of second degree murder but may have been found guilty of manslaughter. That's just my two cents though. Not really taking sides, just trying to look at it in an unbiased way.
