i disagree with many of you, but thats just me, i think hes a douchebag, and wen ur in the finals for somthin to prove that you are the worlds best at doing it, you dont go and do somthin like headbutt some1 during a soccer game. thats like biting some1's ear off wen ur boxing...what a douchebag

he basically lost the game for his team by taking the wind out of their sails and also getting himself ejected

yes it was a little out of the ordinary for zizou, but when you have done all that he has done you can head butt anyone you damn please. also the emotions that must have been running through him at the time would have made him not think at all but just react. I wish I knew what zambrotta said to him, because for all we know he might have deserved it. what a sad farewell, but way to go out with a bang!
 
It was kind of a sad thing for him to do. It was his last game. He announced his retirement earlier on and said that it would be. Even if France did win, he wouldn't have been aloud out on the field to recieve the Cup. It's too bad. Had he made that header, France would have won. Zidane would have been immortalized, recognized as the best player in the world, and more. Instead his whole career, (I think it was 25 years??) came down to him acting like a fucking Big Horn Sheep. Im not appluading it, but I didn't want Italy to win.
 
Headbutting someone in the chest is quite pathetic. At least hit him in the face or something for your red card. I also thought it was funny how hard the other guy dropped after taking a head to the chest. He made it look so bad... quite amusing.
 
I really wanna know what was said to each other before the headbutt. I really cant believe that happened still.
 
I think he twisted Zidane's NIpple or some shit and was laughing cause no one saw it. Obviously Italy was playing cheaply the whole game to really get Zidane's temper up that high. They were probably talking alot of shit too.
