Zero Spins

ur crazy, i love zero's, i love to do em, and i love to see em

i fell hard on one at vail

the thing is, there is so much more to a zero then there is to a strait air. A zero requires wwayy more control than a simple strait air and hey lets get serious, they just look so much better.

I love zeros, i suck at them, but watching lolo do his last year at the open, sooo sick.

See, its just an opinion. Maybe 90% of skiers like 0s more, but I just think straight airs are more fun and look better. But I would agree that half cabs are cooler than 1s.

I landed a couple last year, but this winter everytime I try one I land on my back and it fucking hurts so I try one then give up for a week

dude, how cna u not like them. well i guess it just depends, they need to have good style, which is hard to do. most people do them kinda weird lookin, like treakin it too much n stuff. in my opinion peps zeros r pretty much the sickest thing ever, id take one of those any day over like a 5 or something. and i love doing them off huge jumps cuz its feels awesome and like not many people do them.

Zeros are fun, but wayyyyy over rated. some kid here got second in a contest a couple years ago with a zero spin. its so easy...just don't spin. they're fun, and look neat, but i don't think its a good comp trick, and shouldn't be hyped on so much.

Aren't zero's straight airs in a sense? just backwards? so really everybody agrees here! but since zero's are backwards, and backwards is always more difficult, zeros win

It all depends...I would say doing a zero to the bottom of the landing is harder than a switch cork 7 by any means...you can barely look where you are going and spotting for the landing is hard.

michelle parker did one on the last hit in her open run and took the bronze. i have no problem with zeros in comps if they are done well, plus its a statement.

I think they look real sick off anyrthing over 20 feet......There alot harder than some people may think they are tho ..... you have to spot your takeoff over your shoulder and at the same time you must pop switch and look back up the hill to prevent yourself from spinning then it is really hard to spot your landing because you are looking up the hill....

How long were you waiting to write that one out, or just take that joke from another hotXxX topic and inserted "ski tricks".

If you don't like them, that's cool, but the people who can really put them down over HUGE shit, i.e. Mahre on Pyramid, Launrent last year at USOpen Big Air, make them look amazing, and hard to beat.

no hes rights...anything backward to backward is gay. DONT EVER DO IT. especially turning. if you make 2 turns backward in a row, youre homosexual.

spot over your shoulder? blinded? what, i just crumb togheter and look under my shoulder, then you get a sick ass view of the landings. and all you who says zero spins suck and is way too easy, come back when you can do zero spin truetail( not crossed, like pep at åre back when rfa came out), zero spin double true nose, zero spin shifty, and the sickest ever, i have tried it a couple times: the zero spin daffy! zeros are so fun, you can do all kind of weird stuff in them. try zero over corners, thats fun!!!! if i decide to make myself a segment in our movie, it will be zeros on all the jumps we got!!! and nothing more!!! cause i love zero spins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and also try zero spinning out cliffs!!! then i agree on that you get blinded!!!!

zeros are much harder than most think. the are easy on littlelike 10-30 foot tables. but on bigstuff they arereally hard.

Haha Andy is right they are so gay. NOT. Watch WAR! Andy's zero over pyramid was like one of the most technical tricks and most high risk things I have ever seen. I can not even fathom hitting a booter like that switch, not turning and stomping like that. Unbelievable.

yeah you guys are whack. zeros are far from an easy trick or a straight air. just go and try the two and compare. and from there, make a zero look good, have your arms down the whole time, grab, and stomp the shit outta it. and from there, grab tail, nose, all that stuff. we'll see how much its equal to a straight air. and i wanna see zeros off cliffs and shit, theyre fun.. and hard, and all of this. end of story, get off topic.

Haha that's how I did them last year... I can upload a video if I can still find it. Arms rolling down the windows and everything.

i hate them 2. i always loose balance but i found a trick to help. if u blindfold urself and get on a balance board and do it until you can just stand there

i liked that tweaked one that someone does in the JiB tEAM trailor, he like turns to 90 and kicks his leg out, and its sooo sick

anyone see mike wilson's in happy happy, that helly hanson promo, over that 50+ gap? its soooooo smooth. he turns his skis a perfect 90 and grabs safety, then just casually brings it back around and stomps. the entire jump is one fluid motion. and ive some clips of eric pollard stomping some into powder first try that look dope.

I just dont like people callin em Zero Spins, ITS NOT A SPIN, and i get the whole 0 degrees of a spin thing, its just gay to call it a spin when ur not spinning CALL IT A ZERO, besides that they are pretty sweet.
