I am posting this to point out an interesting, true fact.

NS Mods - I am not trying to persuade anyone to smoke Marijuana, so please don't delete this thread.

It is your own personal choice if you want to smoke or not.

Weed wont kill you or cause major health problems (cancer, for example) like cigarettes and alcohol will.

Marijuana is illegal, yet it has caused 0 deaths. (see bottom of the posted death chart)

I don't drink or smoke tobacco.

After seeing this chart, I am glad that I don't do either.

marijuana deaths dont come from ODs but people die from driving high, and doing stupid things the cound DEFINATELY isnt 0. all deaths on there besides marijuana are from OD, alcohol poisoning, and the after effects of it...

oh and yes i do smoke tree so dont try to pull that over one me...

agreed. its not the drug itself its the stupid shit that stupid people do while high.
 
Who smokes as much weed as people smoke cigarettes 24/7? Nobody. And I guarentee the people who died as a result of being high are counted only as 'vehicle crashes'.
 
i don't know how marijuana use isn't in the same category as

"illegal/illicit drug use" since it's illegal and and illicit substance. stupid statistics if you ask me.

Unless there's an exception to the word "all", I believe it would fall under that category. I'm all for legalization of marijuana, but you don't need to lie to yourself to come up with a good argument for it.
 
How much does a blunt cost? How much do 10 cost? How much do 70 cost? (per week). If you have that much time to smoke that many blunts every day then your job must be to smoke weed.
 
I really know people who do. By no means am I saying that I do, I probly do that in a year. Regardless, I know a couple people that grow there own weed and are probly right up to around 10 blunts a day.
 
you cant lump weed with other drugs into one big category. Weed is far less dangerous and less intoxicating and thus deserves a category of it's own.
 
i dont really think that too many people die from smoking and driving. i've found that driving stoned doesnt really affect how i drive.
 
how about deaths when someone is driving under the influence of marijuana? im pretty sure thats pretty high.
 
Then why am I wrong? It's not natural for people to smoke that much weed so of course they wont die because of it. Maybe if they smoke weed and cigs they will just classify it as tabacco caused.
 
I totally agree with you.

I can drive perfectly while completely blazed. I pay really close attention to the road, never speed, and use all my signals properly.

Driving high is easy.

On the other hand, drunk driving is completely stupid and dangerous. So many people die from drunk driving, because they were dumb enough to drink and drive. If you're drunk, DONT FUCKING DRIVE!!! (I have never driven drunk, and never plan to)
 
yea i dont drink or smoke ciggrets but i smoke the ganja green. my health teacher says that smoking weed you get twice the ammount of tar than smoking ciggrets that was interesting never knew that but yet again health class is lots of propaganda so she might be a lying bitch
 
If you were able to find a statistic about that, and compared it to drunk driving deaths, you would be quite surprised at how much more deadly drunk driving is.

I agree with you that people smoke more cigs than tobacco daily, but i fthey did smoke that much weed, whos to say that they would have the same cause as cigs?
 
i am pretty sure that marijuana has contributed to at least one death in the US over the past year. i choose to do it anyway though
 
only because the amount of people drinking is so much higher.........

also, these numbers are rediculous. The numbers were manipulted, well at least the marijuana number, cause driving under the influence definitely kills some people and I don't care what any of you say, the smoking of anything, including mariuana, introduces carcinogens to the lungs and will possibly cause cancer in the long run.

And don't try to find studies or whatever to prove me wrong, there are studies that will prove any point you want but that doesnt make them valid and we could go on all day arguing by throwing studies back and forth (mine would be good sources though).
