that lead terrorist was killed last night in iraq. he was the leader in many attacks and responsible for thousands of deaths, and they dropped two 500 pound bombs on him, damn right.

it's a good thing in a way, but I'm sure that all those under his control are gonna be pretty pissed, and therefore a lot of terrorism to follow.

yeah, your right. The last thing we want to do is piss off the terrorists. Maybe if we just leave them alone they will stop.

Not true. If we had left them alone 9-11 would not have happened. Here is a list of reasons why al Qaeda decided to attack the US.

-U.S. support of Israel.

-U.S. occupation of the Arabian Peninsula.

-U.S. aggression against the Iraqi people.

The fatwa states that the United States:

-Plunders the resources of the Arabian Peninsula.

-Dictates policy to the rulers of those countries.

-Supports abusive regimes and monarchies in the Middle East, thereby oppressing their people.

-Has military bases and installations upon the Arabian Peninsula, which violates the Muslim holy land, in order to threaten neighboring Muslim countries.

-Intends thereby to create disunion between Muslim states, thus weakening them as a political force.

-Supports Israel, and wishes to divert international attention from (and tacitly maintain) the occupation of Palestine.

that dude was fucked up. he had decapatated heads in duffle bags all over the place when we went in. and if you really think that if we leave them alone they will stop you should shoot yourself.

Obviously I was being sarcastic above. But you are an idiot if you think that the terrorists will stop if we stop too. If we back off, it will just be easier for terrorists to attack again.

It even goes further back, but for the most part, you hit the nail on the head. The Iranian hatred towards us can be traced back to the 50's when we smothered their hopes of attaining a democracy led by revolution. We chose to back up the monarchy that we liked because they sent us oil.

The 6 day war, I believe, was the spark that started the eternal hatred towards US supremecy. We installed Isreal into a land that was raped from the Arabs and they failed to defeat them because of our military gifts and grants to Isreal.

But, back to hte point...I'm just going to copy and paste in what I said about the OTHER Zarqawi thread.

Do you know how many times we have killed the "leader" or the "right hand man". As I have said many many times before. Al Qaeda's power is totally blown out of proportion. In fact, the media is what has given Al Qaeda the power to become so big. I'm not worried at all about another attack, because it is inevitable. It's all a matter of time before it happens again. I can assure you it won't be because we killed AL whatever.

Just one thing I want to elaborate on...

Osama Bin Laden was Saudi Born and raised. He was a high ranking military officer. When the US struck negotiations with Saudi, they declared that we could have military bases and as you said, it violated Muslim safety. Bin Laden was so ashamed his home country would let America into its boarders and kick out it's military officers. Thus the reason he "created" Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda wasn't called that until after September 11 when it was immideately a house hold name in America.

for some reason i don't think thats right...

al qaeda has been fighting with teh Taliban for 10+ years... they also fought the Northern Alliance... this didn't all of a sudden happen.. Iraq had revots of it own

It wasn't called "Al Qaeda". Yes, this is right. Research Osama's life and you will find his military leadership started in Saudi Arabia.

Zarqawi was actually just a small time thug in jordan with a small organization until Colen Powell named him a big man in Al Quida. Then he pretty much had a clean lane to stardome and hassled his way to become high up in Al Queda. He had a horrible relationship with Bin Laden because Laden thought he was a punk for not being a real member, and that all Zarqawi wanted was to destroy Shi-ite muslims instead of fighting the west. Zarqawi had very little actual presence in many of the attacks posted on him.

Except for the fact the Osama has been quoted in several of his videos referring to Zarqawi as a "prince of al Quida."

wow thats some intimate insight there on Bin Laden's thoughts, were you once part of al queda in the past? Or, just some of your own conclusions?

Learn some history. The Shah in Iran, the Saudi dictators, hell, we even supported Saddam for a while.

Not to mention all the oppressive dictators in Latin America and SE Asia.
