Zardox NotWax

Anyone here use it? Does it work as well as it claims it does?

I'm wondering if I should go with Zardoz or regular waxing for my sticks this season.

i have some of that zardoz stuff... its pretty cool shit... make u super speedy if u just brush it on top of ur wax but it only lasts maybe half the day that way. ive seen in a mag that u should wax normal wax onto ur skis... scrape it good... apply zardoz then apply a coat of fluoro on top of that for a real nice base... havent tried it yet but will this season.

yes, get it. it is fast as shit after a night of hardcore mexican food. you should be waxing your skis at LEAST once every week or two, and this helps a ton. heres how it works:

regualar wax works on friction. as you move, the friction of the base melts water, and the ski slides on top of that. thats great when your moving fast, but the slower you go, the slower you go. get it?

Now, this zardos, is a teflon lube. so what it does, is slides on the water frozen in the ice. (like putting water in a good frying pot. so instead of sticking, it flows frictionlessly. with a good coat of wax, skis go scary fast.

i used it every once in a while last year, and its insane. i had a hard time standing in line for the lift, cause my skis would slide unless the snow was perfectly flat. shit, a little wind would move me around. get some, you wont regret it. its amazing stuff.

in science class i sat down to fast and you know how you can sit on your balls. well i did and i sat down really fast and crushed them and right when i sat down i started puking and fell out of my chair. they teacher laughed. i felt like i could pass out i wanted to die.-*NWFT*nUkkA

It's incredible. If you put it over the top of new wax you'll fly. It evaporates in about two days, so you'll have to re-apply it (but one 'puck' lasts forever.) The first time I used it, I put it on my twigs right there on the slopes. It wasn't five seconds before I slipped and fell. Once I realized that I should put it on at home, I loved it. Go buy some.

thanks for the feedback. think i'm going to go with their 'felix process' and see how that works out, and stock up on notwax for the season.

NO NO NO NO NO a thousand NO's never use zardon it fuckes up your bases so bad. like one drop dryes out the whole base of your ski plus you can get base burn easyer with it. and yes it is super fast but only for one run is it fast plus with some good cheap low flouro wax you can get your skis just as fast and it will even last a lot longer. all should do is get a big (maybe 160g) thing of swix lf wax and wax your skis with it maybe once every two days you ski on them and you will be set.well thats only if your not raceing if your raceing then you want high fluro and you need to wax every night and nevermind im not going to get in to race waxing its way to complex to explane right now.WELL ANYWAYS WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE ZARDONS.

ya its crazy stuff

trust me i does mess up your bases even if you have wax on them. well maybe it wont mess them up but thats only if you put a shit load of wax on and dont scrape it off but if do that that deffetes the whole purpose of the zardon because it will only slow you down.

dont use zardoz, if you want to go fast, just use a hydrocarbon bottom layer with temp. appropriate flourocarbon layer over it. and make sure you wax your skis AT LEAST every two weeks, or you will get base burn. you dont want that.

ill be super rich and own mt.hood and let everybody from ns ski for free... except freezed

heard from various places that you should wax brand new skis at least 10 times before even thinking about snow. wtf should I use for this, just a general all-purpose wax?

^No the first ten waxes you put on a ski are most important, so you want to use high quality wax. Just go out and find the most expensive wax you can find, wax your skis then scrape off as much as you can then repeat the process ten times, or 15 if you really want to be safe. Otherwise with the new high end bases ski companies use your skis wont even be rideable 3 months into the season.

^^ your going to want to use at least a low flourocarbon. i highly recomend swix wax.so you should prolly use a swix LF wax or if u got the big bucks go with the swix HF or BDHF. the letter stand for the type LF= low flourocarbon HF= high flourocarben BDHF= just HF with black devil speed stuff added to it. now the # are for the tempature use a 6 for most days use a 4 for when its super duper cold out and use a 8 when its kinda warm like spring skiing.
