Zach Davison's position with Armada

it's everyone's business.  a sponsored skier is a marketing tool, their relationship with the brand is what influences people to buy the skis!  if nobody talked about tanner's relationship with armada (ie being sponsored by them, designing skis, etc.), well then he wouldn't be a very effective sponsored athlete would he?  i mean shit man the top of armada's news section on the site is a posting about how TJ and grete's relationship with armada skis has changed, with them going pro.  

Now nobody here has implicated that Zach D or Armada is pissed about his place on the team, if that's what you're worried about, because obviously nobody knows.  So what's the problem?  If a kid says he thinks that Zach should be on a different level with Armada, he's entitled to that opinion.  
 
whatever dudes, newschool.com is the industry, whether you like it or not. anything is fair game on this site, because this small industry is driven by it, its no secret. so enough with these "high horse" guys (thanks amanda) who tell everyone to shut up., because yall dont realize, this is where changes come from, and where twin tip ski info starts. boyaa, my 2 cent
 
more like 1.5 cents, and no not every thing is fair game, the relation ship between a pro rider and his employer is not for the world to post their opinions on because the world does not know shit about that relationship unless eather of the two parties involved release that information, which neather Zach D or Armada has done.
 
I'm guessing they won't put someone in the am team who finds himself doing philgrabs in the BC though a whole segment
 
Well, get out there, not EVERYTHING happens on NS.Com... we could start doing tons of fuckin thread on him and hype it up like armada was hyped up, but the guy lets his skills pays off...
 
Oh and its not spin to win... he is probably part of the 5% of the kids that spin big, but still do it with high steeze and make it look as smooth as a 360.
 
armada is basically the highest caliber company you can ride for. if zach wanted to be moved up he should pick another company or fucking destroy everyone because hes competing with the best. Look at how long it took TJ to go from am to pro (is he even pro on Armada) while he was consistanly winning contests getting cover shots and full video segments from point A to B. I understand your concerns but has zach won any contests or filmed ground breaking segment or gotten cover shots, aside from his segment in war not really so i guess that would answer your question
 
thanks for the advice, but you know, i like sitting behind my computer screen 24/7.

and last time i checked, armada's pro skiers don't use ns for hype. they do things like consistently win major contests, get magazine covers, and produce solid movie segments year after year. but wait, i wouldn't know that; i don't get out very often.
 
Im going to step in and settle the score once and for all, the real reason why zach isn't higher up in the ranks of armada yet is because his boots and socks stink. Its true, due to poor boot and sock maintainece they will not move him up.
 
He's pretty solid on rails, but is kinda weak off jumps and in the pipe. Read Jacobs response to why he isn't on the pro team on the site. Armadas teams are elite, it's the best of the best. There are so many kids with the skill level of Zach these days. Look at all the Level 1 Superunkown vids as an example. The rails and jumps in those clips were all so tech. TJ's finnaly on the pro team after pretty much winning every major contest twice.
 
find him on myspace and ask. or, pick up the alaskan yellow pages, find his number, and ask.
 
i think he is certainly of higher quality than regional team. especially by virtue of how famous he is on ns, almost everyone knows who he is, and knows he rides for armada, and has seen a part from him in a "high budget" film, and by defitinition of the term, he is an amateur rider,

in addition, i would like to emphasize the fact that he is known outside his region, by a large group of skiers, and should therefore be moved up.

and tj should have been made pro last year.

save the regional riders section , for flowed riders in their region, where they are that sick kid at their hill, not someone who lives halfway across the worlds favourite skier,

 
bill gates has donated sooo much damn money to save kids lives around the world no one should be able to talk trash. people hate him pritty much because hes smart enough to control the industry and plus without microsolf capatablitly would be shit and we wouldnt have the advancement in solfware we have.
 
seriously though, he befriended samuel l. jackson and now they are like best buds, they get sushi and drunk together all the time i heard. "US" WEEKELY ANYONE!
 
is he taking zach to the Snakes on a plane premier?!? wait why isnt samuel on the pro team is the bigger question.
 
HAHAHA. When i first started reading this thread, the first thing i thought was "Man... this is like US Weekly or something, where all these kids get off on knowing the status of a pro skier." Guys, it doesn't matter what team he is on, or any of that. just know he kills it. OH YEAH! i heard he had 8 California Rolls for lunch today.

Woah man I just read this thread and people are way too into this stuff...As far as the thread topic is concerned, maybe for the same reason that there are still super sick unknown kids out there with no sponsors at all. Everybody and their mother wants or wanted to get sponsored at some point in their life (there is no way you can disagree with that one so don't bother, I'm guilty too) so naturally skiing is flooded with sick ass kids out there doing whatever the fuck they want.

Perhaps Armada can't afford to pay everybody they sponsor to go skiing for a living. I have no idea how their system works over there (or at any company really) but I'd be surprised if Jacob Wester doesn't receive any help at all from them (hotel rooms, plane tickets, etc.). Maybe he doesn't see a check, and maybe Zach Davison just gets all the sweet gear hookups and likes it that way.

I don't know where I'm going with this, but I guess don't worry too much about it, the only way we'll ever know is if he tells us on this sweet website where everybody cares just a little too much about people they don't know's personal lives. If you feel that he should be paid to ski, I'm sure that he would gladly give you his mailing address if you were to send him a check.

And I'm not trying to be a dick, but there is a little sarcasm in there.
 
guys dont argue with jd, he is all knowing god, he knows all, like why would you bother, hes just the shit, he knows everything there is to know about the ski industry!
