wow you guys got really offended.
and no i didnt feel like hating on apatow for being successful (if you can call it that), i was hatin because almost every movie he has been a part of was a pile of shit.
first off,
Anchorman - alright, no real problems
40 Year Old Virgin - good message, alright jokes. this movie is alright because it was one of the first. they slowly get worse and worse.
Knocked Up - not funny at all.
Superbad - entirely played out. really poorly developed and cliché characters.
Pineapple Express - Dont even get me started on this tragedy. like four funny punchlines the entire film. when i see a movie i want to see shit that will make me laugh. not shit designed for the cast to laugh at, time after time, movie after movie. the ending was a complete travesty, the characters were really lame, and when Rosie Perrez has on of the understated rolls, something is amiss.
and the irony of this quote really gets me: "In a time where people can barely write and produce 20 minutes of entertaining/funny/witty material, you decide to knock someone who has consistently produced the best comedies of this decade. "
pineapple express would have been good ten minutes at a time on youtube. when you have to bring an awesome cameo back like nine times to the point where it is unbareably monotanous, you should find a new business.
so maybe Apatow had nothing to do with this movie - the point is, i dont want to see a movie with an overall pointless plot with all the SAME characters as the movie that came out the month before. seth rogen has completely sold out, that black guy's one liners are annoying as hell, and what the fuck is Katherine Heigl doing with these unoriginal shit-for-brains anyways? she could land way better, non-womanizing roles.
and bro, what was so unintelligent about my opinion? was it because its not the same as yours?
