Youtube going downhill?

i dont know its just me but i think youtube is really starting to go downhill with the increasingly strict copy right laws and what not.

what are your thoughts?
 
yes, to much copywrite, now they have adds :( and the new HighQuality is to big for normal loading... HQ is as good as HD, so why have "HD"?
 
youtube sucks so bad. the design is terrible also, you can't login while you're watching a video, and it always changes the page, has random popup thingies and the comment section was designed by a 3 year old. nothing on it works.
 
everyones competative about getting their views and subscribers and its all getting way too dumb. im sick of it. is true that you can find anything on there
 
Youtube is just a big shitfest for little girls and gay emo kids trying to get attention b/c no one in real life likes them....I said it...its the truth. Vimeo on the other hand is dope.
 
you obviously dont have a shitty computer. youtube is for people like me who can't watch nice vimeo edits, or even NS for that matter. the quality really isn't that bad and it has EVERYTHING on it. quit bitching.
 
yeah it does but as a whole its just kinda shot now. On the note I need my computer to work so if it wasn't semi quick I would be screwed. Youtube is generally slower for me though depending on the time. Vimeo has a feature to allow you to turn of the HD which I can imagine might help a bit.
 
meh not really. the copyright stuff sucks, but i found that there was a while when they would delete/disable audio on any song that had a copyrighted song. but now, they just send me a message saying that they know i have a copyrighted song on the video, and it just puts a little advertisement bar on the bottom of the screen and don't mess with the audio, so i don't mind that. also i really like the HD feature, but i also have a pretty powerful comp for editing; sounds like HD runs really poorly on smaller comps
 
yeah especially with the fact that ratings are getting disabled and shit, youtube should be 100% about user feedback, so when an advertiser pays to post a retarded video, the community should be allowed to rate it 1 star and say it sucks camel dick
since when could a video sharing site not be all about user interactions? when i see ratings or comments disabled on a video i just get mad
 
its not youtube anymore because its not for you (meaning everyone) anymore. It is now just for celebs and what not to make a shame of themselves on the interwebz
 
youtube just has too much dumb shit. adding the ability to record by webcam was a terrible idea. I like that on vimeo, whether its good or not, almost every video is made by the uploader and they put some time into filming & editing it
 
i don't lile youtube. the quality is not that good and there are so many crappy videos of the same kind

VIMEO is way better and all the skiing edits should be hosted via vimeo.

ah and yeah: the videos hosted by ns.com load way to slow. i have to wait for ages to watch something (we won't speak about the shitty double pits to chesty add).

So people: Upload your vids to vimeo!

 
Someone needs to step up to these record companies. If you purchase a song from itunes and then use it in an edit you are creating new material not for profit so it is not protected.

And if shows want to make a profit of of downloads they need to offer them for free download in high quality with limited adds or an add bar. You cant stop progress. Fuck youtube.

They change/update it over time, and people start to hate it for some reason. Remember things like the new facebook? Everyone was all upset about it, yet now i bet you 98% of those people don't even remember what it used to be like.

Youtube still works perfectly for what i want. I just about never watch actual user videos. (the ones typically made by the 12 year old girls, emos, and wanna be celebs.) For everything else its still good
 
perhaps its time to let go? That whole thing just showed how much people hate change. The new design is much better and works in an easier way for users. I'd be curious to see how people would react if they changed it back to the old one. Probably by forming groups about how they want the old new facebook back.
 
I can not find videos on youtube ever. I don't want to watch user created shit where someone cries into the camera. I want to watch clips that have been on tv of shows, sports, and crazy shit that has happened.

I have tried searching for shit because it works on my iphone and the first page of results is never what I am looking for I have to find it hidden away and in poor quality. Gay. And I have come around to the new facebook but I am a creeper and like the news feed, even though it seams like there is never any news on it.
 
no the new one is shit. it never works properly. fb chat is fine but its a bitch all the fucking time. and the old one was just downright better. of course theres going to be groups like that too because every waking thing anybody does has a fucking group like that. i just ignore those lowlifes that make them and join them because they never get anything accomplished anyway.
 
im pretty sure that youtube isnt going downhill any more. its already at the bottom of that hill and is now proceeding do dig a well and go down into to
 
When i was with teh vimeoz I got so many girls, and I was so like awesome at life and stuff, and I could lifts so many weightz. I was teh coolest cat on da streetz.

but den youtubez came along and i switched and nowz i have no friendz and i turned into a wimp and i caught da aids from da youtubez.
