youth hostels in BC

what up, if anybody here has been to any youth hostels in BC please leave some info on which one is the best, and is closest to a ski hill, thanks

 
I stayed at the one in Fernie, free pancakes (you make 'em) in the morning...pretty nice, except there's not much to do in that town. Plus, you need a ride to the mountain (like 15-20 mins up the road).

theres one up at Apex and its a 30 second walk to the mountain. its pretty nice free pancakes and coffee in the morning and its like $20.

Shoestring 'hostel' in whistler is pretty dope. 4 peeps to a room, tv, bathroom. It's more like a really ghetto hotel than a hostel, it's fun.

Do you have any good info about that ^? I went to the site and it looks awesome, but it doesn't really tell you much about it.

Shoestring is under $30 canadian a night, per person. It's really cool if you're a group of 4, cuz you're all in the same room. And the strip club, or rather club with strippers on Mondays, AKA The Boot, is right beside you, in the same building. It's fantastic.

In fernie there is same sun and ragin elk they'r just besides each other and there is public transport just out side the door.
