Youriding freeskiing 2 game is ready !

this game is so much better than shredsauce on rails and as good as shredsauce on jumps. but shredsauce has this beat with custom levels creator

Tahnks to ULRICH i got to play it.

Okay, some pros over shredsauce:

The graphics, the jackets, boxes, jumps, background all look more realistic.

You can prespin, which is really awesome, lets you set a bigger spin/smaller spin just by pressing a key.

Camera angle can be changed.

Trick teller, it knows what tricks you've done. It's pretty acurate too. It knows pretzels, all the spins, grabs, and trick names like Bios, Mistys, rodeos, So that's awesome.

You can change what keys do what, which is sweet.

You fall in this game, your skis can come off depending on how harsh your fall is, i like that.

It's downloadable.

there is a competition mode, havn't played that yet.

Cons over shredsauce

The fucking pyhsics. What the actual fuck. I look like a ragdoll in the air.

no level creator, yet?

It's not fucking free. $20? wtf.

The stance of the charector is straight gaper.

The grabs are stupid.

So far, shredsauce is in the lead. If Malcom throws better graphics, a downloadable version, online playing and things such as a pre spin and just keeps listening to us, nothing will beat it.

^ its a beta, for a beta i an very impressed and yes i agree with all of this.

i think the best part is the first person cam, i love it. i just wish i could see switch and look down when i hit rails and stuff, cause its kind of hard to hit them.

First of all big ups to Ulrich for letting me use his info to test the game out.

Pros:

I like the Trick Namer. It is something no other game has(Jib Life might but who knows?). It is decently accurate. Along with this is the Trick Grader, which judges how well your trick is done.

The scaling (i.e. character to feature ratio)is more accurate than other games like SS and Jibbin.

The pre-spin function is sweet. Allows for easy 2 on's and nice sets on jumps.

The backflip and frontflip animations are both really sweet, unlike in SS where your character just stays in a boner. The backflip especially because we all like those laid out backies.

The default key layout is cool. You would expect spacebar to be pop, but D,F,G are popping keys. (D and G are pre-spin) It's cool because your fingers are closer to grabs etc.

Cons:

THE PHYSICS - Although the rail game isn't bad, the jumps are absolutely terrible. You have no control of the tricks. I really don't know how to classify the physics. Jibbin used a momentum based, all-axis physics, and SS uses like a "zero gravity", all-axis physics.(Trying my best to describe them) But this, I just don't know what to call it. The arrow keys seem to perform opposite rotations as your axis changes, making things very difficult. /physicsrant

Controls get all flipped when you go sw, and it's just annoying.

Although the falling animations are kind of cool, I get really annoyed that I double- eject and have a season-ender every effing time. Along with this, it's really picky with landings. You gotta be perfect.

The graphics are lacking a bit, but I feel like that will change as it is only in Beta.

Grabs suck.

- Alright, I think that pretty much does it. Over all, I think that the game has potential. Don't buy the Beta because ShredSauce is much better right now. However, I'm going to be looking forward to the full release of this game. I hope this incredibly unorganized review helps.

First + K to Ulrich and Roddy116.

Second - people saying rails in this game is better that SS got to suck at SS, rails where terrible, axis where horrible and falling was cool, but i got sick of it after 10 minutes.

(can't this guy tighten his bindings? The ski don't release and fly 50 meters down the hill after landing a bit sideways after a bloody box!)

Naa, I'm shocked they didn't deliver better! the 2D version is cooler than this!

only plus was the angels, SS is a bit "low" some times... Go Malcom!

i thought SS was better at first but after changing all the keyboard controls to SS controls and after a little practice i think YR is a lot more fun. dont get me wrong, i love SS and it had its aspects that are better. Maybe this game is just more fun right now bc i play shredsauce alllll the time and get a little bored of it.

Thanks for lending the account Roddy116 +K

I have to admit that I like this game, it's rather fun, even in beta, but I'm not sure if worth the money, when they put multiplayer in beta then probably yes.

Pre-spin is genious, the ragdoll movement when you take a fall is realistic, but I really hope that the full game has a option of buying stronger bindings, because blowing up after every little mistake gets annoying fast.

First person view is neat, cork spins and backflips feel like the real deal with it. But IR tracking would make it really awesome (you attach a infrared LED to your headset and a webacam records your head movement so that your head movement is transferred to gameview) like in ARMA II. It's complicated shizzlewhizzle but if the game could support that then it would be Freeskiing Simulator 2013.

The spin axis is bit too whack atm, too much aerials style, getting a legit looking cork is hard, getting a double cork near impossible.

Is anyone else having trouble installing this on a mac book, when i click on the download it begins to install then the loading bar just disappears

So I've been playing around a little more, trying dubs and shit. Dub Corks actually don't look awful if you do them right.

i wish there were a couple more maps, at least a big air map would be fun. thats pretty much all i did in the first youriding anyways.
