actually i'm pretty good at baseball. all my friends play it so i end up playing pick up games with them, and am just as good as the kids that start. so as far as i'm concerned, it's not too hard.

Baseball is definitely the easiest sport to play, where the highlights are people diving to make a catch. How about this. Maybe if they weren't fat slow fucks they could run faster and wouldn't have to dive. But do you honestly think a diving catch takes skill? Try catching a football with a corner back covering you, and a safety coming in to hit you as soon as you catch it, AND make sure you get two feet inbounds. Now that takes skill. FYI, for all you nerds who haven't played a real sport like football, it's much harder to catch a football than a baseball with a fucking glove.

Baseball players are the worst athletes on the planet, second only to golfers. Congratulations, you're sport sucks.
 
yeah, i mean, getting hit with a 98mph fast ball is total puss....

baseball is a thinking man's game, and takes more skill than football. alright, you have to stay focused every single pitch, then when its hit to you, you make the diving catch, and then what? who do you throw to? do you hit the cutoff? how fast is the runner? that is just the outfield, on defense! Hitting the ball is a whole nother story. and you HAVE to be good at both, unlike football where you can specialize in one single task, you have to be well rounded. slow fucks? are you serious? look at jose reyes run. you just might shit your pants. They are not terrible athletes, you're a fucking idiot. baseball takes more hand-eye coordination than any other sport. more arm strength, focus, and smarts. getting a fucking clue.

i play 3rd base and shortstop, where the baseball comes at me over 100mph.

People that hate on sports are everything you claim baseball is (pussies, faggots, whatever)

1. Learn some new words. Middle School vocabularies will take you straight to McDonalds

2. Since when does contact determine how difficult a sport is? Weird. The only time you have "contact" in skiing is when you fall or run into a tree which means you're trying to become a better skier or you're Sonny Bono. Contact does not determine difficulty. If you really believe this you'll have an excellent career as a crash dummy (after your lucrative deal with McDonalds or maybe the local car wash)

3. Baseball is both mental and physical. Those "fours hour games with 10 minute of action" you speak of leads to believe you never played baseball yourself. (insert typical, "I didn't play baseball because it's for fags" comment here) Baseball requires serious hand-eye coordination and some serious endurance. I'm not talking marathon like endurance. I'm talking played over 100 games in a four - five month span of time. (My junior year of high school I logged 108 games from Spring to Fall)

4. I played a "real" sport like football. I also played basketball and of course, baseball. All of them were equally challenging in their own way. "Try catching a football with the a corner back covering you..." Try standing in front of someone throwing a 90 mph hard ball at your head. Try running up and down a court for an entire game. Try getting checked into the boards. Try hitting an 85 ft table switch. Try all sports because that's what they're there for. Sports are supposed to be fun.

5. Baseball players are not the worst athletes and if you think that, take a look at a guy like A-Rod or any player coming back from the DL. They work their asses off.

The truth is, YOU are the worth kind of athlete because you claim that one sport is better than another. That's what ignorant losers do. I think you need to reevaluate your opinion. No one asked you if you liked baseball and quite frankly I don't care if you don't. This thread was about what teams people like to root for not a pissing competition on what sport is better. Grow up and quit being so fucking negative. I promise it'll lead to a better life.

there is no single more impressive feat in sports than hitting a 2 inch ball with a 3 inch wide bat traveling at 90+ miles per hour.

there is nothing that even comes remotely close to as tough as that

is baseball boring sometimes? sure, but 162 games in 190 days is nothing to laugh at, that's tough

for the record i dont play baseball and havent since 6th grade when i started lax

Just to let kids like Bepo and Shawn. know, hitting a baseball (at MLB level) is one of the most difficult things to do out of any sport.

i disagree. that stadium is such a poop hole. it was so dirty, and i got looks cuz i was wearing a blue jays hat...and guess what. the blue jays tore their ass up that night
