Your Worst Ski Habbit

Like everyone, the same ski on same foot.

Forget to re-do my bottom buckles after I undo them on the lift to prevent my feet from falling asleep, which ends up in crushed toes when I try to manual and stuff.

Getting really pissed off when I double-eject on a stomped landing, resulting in a perfect air fucked up.

Cleaning skis off on the lift.

Getting pissed at snowboarders for being stereotypical snowboarders.

Flying into lift-lines, resulting in a few real pissed off people with clipped tips or tails. But stuff them, I'm busy doing a race so back the fuck off. Bitches think they own the mountain because they spent 400 dollars on a few days of skiing. Dicks.

Same, I put stickers on in the middle of my bindings. They say left foot on one and right foot on the other.

yeah... I have a really bad habit of never taking my goggles off, which results in a killer goggle tan by about mid-season

"No Blood no foul"

overshooting whe i guinea pig jumps

and when i spin, i pop a lot more than on strait airs, so i end up overshooting again

doing the same tricks i don't need to work on over and over.

i never work on basic park stuff that i really need to do.

im always crossin my hand and pole over to the other side of my body an screwing with it, but i havent gotten stuck there yet. also, i scout the park every day, even rails. makes me look pretty dumb first run.

dropping into a trick which scares me, i HAVE to the right song playing. like will sit there for ages scrolling ipod till I it get it.

worse if i fall on that trick...then that song is out. its bad luck and i can't use it again. its all very black cats and witches

And if i know its the last run, and esp. if someone calls it. I just do straight airs and slides. but that goes without saying

Forgot about my habits haha.

-Goggles always on, I can't hit a rail or a jump without them on, I have tried, it is very difficult.

-Centermounting everything (some people consider it bad)

-Pole straps aren't a habit people, it's just common sense.

-I used to stick my tongue out whenever I spun a jump.

-Fuck last run myth, I usually throw down my hardest on the last run.

-When me and my friends first started learning rails, I had to have us hit it in the same order every time. If I hit it first the first time, I had to be first every other time. IF I hit is 2nd the first time, I had to be second every time, behind the same person. If it wasn't like that I couldn't do it haha.

-I also have a habit of saying I'm going to do something, such as a flat 5, and then making myself try because I kept running it through my mind, and end up dying.

-I guess you can say left and right skis, but that is only because of the way I out them together and take them apart, I never look at them to make sure. It doesn't matter to me.

this happens to me all the time

also for some reason, everytime i go up to a rail i need to do a tine useless pizza, then double pole a few times before i hit it. Its really fucking weird but if i dont do it, i feel really uncomfortable and outta control no matter how slow i am going

left and right ski is my biggest thing. also it sucks but when i land switch always land in a reverse pizza wedge. it sucks and dont know how i can fix it.

maybe try landing with your feet together to take the compression, then stand up and look over your shoulder, thus stomping your trick and riding away clean switch

for me, i always wear my helmet, and i tend to nibble on the extra length of the strap, or on the top of my bandana, that and i like to kick the snow off of my skis before i drop in

how come nobody noticed this?

and my worst habit is leaning too much forward when landing switch...
and being sloppy on my ride-out; that's usually the moment when i fall... on the revert or something stuppid like that....

When I'm hitting jumps I sing to my self really retarded songs (such as never gonna give you up by the one and only Rick Astley) and I don't even realize until I see people are staring at me like I have a dick coming out of my face

i believe in the myth of calling it, but ya i usually do really good on my last one

right ski on the right foot.

same buckles done up in the same order, to the same tightness.

Thanks for making me look like a retard for lAughing during the middle of a silent final.... For me left and right ski. I can never have any snow ontop of my skis..... And trying to progress way to fast.... Like learn corks one day, then the next day going for dub cork

Totally agree, i do the exact same thing... Even in back country i speed check way too much! i also have to have gum and when i am trying a new trick i point up to the sky; right as i start my approach.

i bitch alot when im skiing pow and the people im with are skiing slow

and i sing along to my ipod pretty loudly

I keep fucking up my thumbs because I always put them on w/o even knowing. I should probably just cut them off

Seeing some friends behind me in the lift line and yelling back "i'll wait up top" but then totally forgetting about this in the 7 mins. it takes to get up top and skiing off while they prob watch from the lift commenting on what a prick i am.

-I lick my lips every time I go to try a new trick not to sure why?

-Right/left ski must always be on it right foot

-My first turn I always go left.

My pole straps have to be on! There is no way around it. I can't ski without them. Also, my left ski had better be on my left foot. No gettin around this one either! Not necessarily a habit as much as it is OCD!

when i do spins that require a foreward landing, i always plant my pole right inbetween my skis and hit myself in the face when i land and it hurts. also i need goggles on when i do railsfor some reason
